Moon Tea — Restaurant in Lynchburg

We saw this when driving to our way to prom and wanted to try it. We walked in and were seated immediately which we were lucky to be as this place was jumping, the menus were simple and easy to read but the tv's featured a few items not yet on the physical menu which isn't a big issue. We had 2 great waitresses that helped us with our questions and took our ramblings of an order, the food came quickly and was just amazing. You can get an entrée or just the little side dishes but either way you'll be full after. They have everything from ramen, to pork buns, to red bean cakes, to stir fry noodles or rice. The side dishes cost mostly around $3.25 or more depending on quantity but you get a decent amount for the price as we loved the pork buns and the house special was amazing with the white sauce but watch yourself with the desserts that'll rack up your bill fast. Me and my wife come here for boba tea but we tried the food once . Not saying foods bad …. But be forewarned there are some dishes that will taste or have a fishy smell to them even if nothing you ordered has anything to do with fish . That is because they cook everything fried in the same fryer oil as they do fish . So your noodles or anything that gets intermixed with same pans or oil as fish your food will have that cross flavor of fish to it . They have a sign that states “ be responsible with what you order as it will not be exchanged or refunded “ what should be stated is that they cross mix some plates with fish instead of being worded as a costumers responsibility. I arrived on a Saturday evening with a couple of girlfriends. We sat on the patio and drank bubble tea and chatted for a couple of hours.

The mixed fruit tea looked amazing and my friend gave it good reviews. I had the standard milk tea and one of the other gals chose the peach tea. Everyone loved our drinks and the cute vibe of the patio with lights strung up.

The customer service was great. We had a gentleman from the Dominican Republic who was our initial server. He was very attentive. We stayed a couple of hours chatting and ended the evening with a young lady who was also very attentive.
