At least five years ago—back when they were located in warehouse on the side of the road—I bought a purse (or was lovingly nudged into buying one by a dear friend). That bag quickly became my everyday go-to, and I’ve used it nearly every day since. What’s truly remarkable is that despite all that use, it still looks brand new. The durability is unmatched! It’s the most functional and versatile bag I’ve ever owned—serving as a backpack, a slingback, an over-the-shoulder bag, or carried in the crook of my elbow.

After searching online for another Meanwhile Back on the Farm bag, I decided to take it a step further—I signed up for their bag workshop and drove three hours each way just for the experience. And let me tell you, it was worth every mile! The team is incredibly kind, encouraging, and supportive, making the entire process special from start to finish. I received a build your own bag kit for Christmas. It took me months to get around to finally doing it. I sent a quick and easy email- submitting what I wanted and I swear it seemed within 2 days my customized bag was on my porch waiting to be opened. I was very impressed with the service and I just LOVE my new bag!! I grew up on a small horse farm so the fresh leather smell made me super nostalgic and happy. Aside from that- the bag is super versatile. It can be a handbag for more formal-like occasions or easily made into a backpack (my favorite. ) Thank you! I love my bag so much. I cannot rave enough about the quality of the bags I purchased from MBOTF. The bags are perfection and the customer service is absolutely fantastic. I had to call the shop for help with to purchases and the staff were absolutely fantastic to assist and make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I even have a custom bag in the works!!
