WORST experience I've ever had with any company. A diamond store is supposed to help the customer feel valued.. especially when it comes to engagement rings and getting married. Sadly, the Lynchburg location of Zales made sure to ruin my experience rather quickly. I got engaged in October of 2015. My fiancé and I brought my ring in to be sized the same week. I wear a size 4.75. I can understand that since my finger is such a small size, that it is a tedious job to size an engagement ring down to that. I was willing to wait the 6-10 weeks for it to come back in, that way my setting was intact and it was still a high quality ring. My fiancé and I continually called once the 8 week mark hit, asking MJ and John if my ring had arrived yet. They could never give me a single update about when my ring would be in or the status of anything. Finally, after 10 weeks my ring came in.. HOWEVER, my ring came back in without ANY WORK done to it. Same condition as it was before, no sizing done. Nothing. I didn't get any apology from any of the staff members, they just acted like it was my fault and I shouldn't be worried about it. So then MJ tells me that he could send my $4,000 ring to their "external jeweler." I don't trust that at all since my ring is under a warranty and would be void if something happened to it at a jeweler unaffiliated with Zales. So, no thank you to that. So MJ gave me the option to have my ring custom ordered in my size... Okay that's fine. It was going to take another 6-10 weeks. After MJ "ordered" this ring, we waiting 10 more weeks, called John to see if it was in, and he couldn't find our ring anywhere in the system. It had NEVER BEEN ORDERED. So now we're in February, still waiting for a ring and have to wait ANOTHER 6-10 weeks for my ring to come in. I have never been offered any compensation, apology, NOTHING from the store management. I am so disappointed in the customer service of this company and will never stop telling my family and friends to never step foot in a Zales store again. Friends, DO NOT USE THIS STORE. Read moreI will never do business with these people again, they will lie straight to your face just to make a sale. I purchased by fiancee's engagement ring from them and was told that it did not matter what size I bought to just bring it back and have it resized after I gave it to her. The reasoning was that if I got the size wrong then it would have to be resized twice which is bad for the ring. So the ring was to big and we took it in to get resized they told us it would take 4 - 6 weeks, after calling several times and being told that it was still being worked on I finally stopped in around 5 weeks and was told that the resize was rejected because they could not go down 4 sizes, I was not mad about that I was mad that they had this information for over 4 weeks and never called me or said anything when I called them. I was told that it was rejected weeks ago and they should have called me but they must have forgotten. We had to re-order her ring is a smaller size then have it resized down to the correct size. I should have known better but we purchased our wedding bands from these crooks and liars about two weeks ago. Same situation her ring size is a size 4 the band they had in store was a size 6, I specifically asked if that was going to be ok and the lady assured me that they would be able to resize it no problem. I get a call today that they were able to resize the band but the prongs on the band broke and a diamond or two fell out and that they are going to have to re-order the ring in a smaller size and then have it resized down to a 4, it is going to take 4-6 weeks and our wedding is in 30 days. Don't trust these people they will lie to you just to make a sale, they don't know what they are talking about and as soon as they get your money they throw you away like...

November 2017 of last year we went to use their “trade program” and purchase a new ring and after numerous mix ups and mess ups between Whitney and Daila I decided to get a refund for our purchase and take my business elsewhere . After getting my refund complete on April 17th 2018 (documentation in hand) I’m told today April 19th 2018 that was not done right . Now how convenient now that they have my money tied up and the merchandise is finally here after almost 6 months I’m told I have to wait yet again for them to figure out how to release my husbands money or see if they can give me the merchandise . Now I “the customer “ have a lot of money tied up with them and have to wait yet again for them to sort it out ! Totally unacceptable ! After reading other reviews on this site it seems this specific location has a lot of the same issues with numerous customers . Maybe Zales needs to look into training their employees properly Before putting the on the floor . Oh FYI I had an employee tell me to my face she could get fired basically for trying to help me ????How rude and unprofessional . I have never left a google review in my life but wanted to for warn people who look at these before using a company . Luckily I’m already married I’d hate to be in the shoes of a soon to be bride as it looks like some poor ladies around Lynchburg have been heartbroken on their big day due to Lynchburg Zales lack of customer service.
