Was very disappointed today by the quality of service that is unusual for this establishment inside the mall food court. With only one cashier three stooges were standing around looking preoccupied chatting with each other while I stand in front of a register while the que builds. My perception was urgency was not priority until another ethnicity began to wait in the line. When the lady with two first names called for the next in line, which I was already standing there (glancing past me as if I was a ghost), she eventually asked if I was next in line, I responded yes, she looked over at the line that had formed and ask are you sure I was next, I stated I have been waiting here to be served while you've been ignoring my existence here in the line. It wasn't until she got confirmation from the white couple waiting after me giving the ok, that she began to take my order. Although she began to take my order, it felt like she really didn't want to take it, as if I was this evil line jumper came out of no where and purposely jumped in front of someone. But had she been paying attention realizing I have been waiting at the counter directly in front of her register before a line even formed maybe things could have gone differently. Or maybe her bias towards me wouldnt have mattered regarding the pretense of the matter. Seems like a strong case of unconscious bias was a contributor in this interaction. Because I was a Black male with his Black family, we all felt like we was discriminated in our line position only until the couple behind us "validated" our place in line. As if my testimony wasn't enough. In today's environment we have evolved too far for this to be happening in Lynchburg, VA. Her approach was unreasonable and unacceptable, we cancelled our order and walk away because I refuse to give an organization my hard earned money to someone who can not accept my racial composition, or to feel threatened by it. So, you Chick fil la will never obtain any future business from me, ever! I would recommend that you provided specialized diversity training that highlights topics such as unconscious bias, equity and inclusion. And it should be conducted at least annually as refresher for your tenure employees who somehow forget how to treat others who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI work within the mall and normally eat at this restaurant 1-2 times a week. My experience has been pleasant for some time. I can normally order within the app and pickup at the store easily! That said, I had a poor recent experience. I attempted to make an order for this store using the Chick-Fil-A app. I received an error message advising me to see a team member. I spoke with a team member upon arrival and they had not received my order. The next day I saw a charge pending for the failed order as well as my new order. I reached out to Chick-Fil-A cares and was promised someone would check the issue out and follow up with me. Later that day the store Manager, Jared Bryant, contacted me and left a message. It was late that night and because it was a Saturday, I followed up on the Monday. Mr. Bryant collected some information and advised he would follow up with me on Wednesday. To this day I have not heard from Mr. Bryant. I sent an email to Chick-Fil-a on the Friday after. I have not had any follow-up from Chick-Fil-A. As of right now, this company has stolen money from me and not attempted to make any effort to rectify the situation. I would strongly recommend one of the other restaurants in the mall and to avoid using the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for breakfast at Chic fil a this morning. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, large coffee. When I got to work it was a chicken biscuit. I called the store to explain the error. The person who took the call kept telling me that I wasn't charged for a BEC biscuit. My argument to him was, the price is not the problem. The order was incorrect. He kept insisting that I wasn't charged for a BEC biscuit. I told him I understand but I didn't order a chicken biscuit. I ordered a BEC biscuit, Sorry to say my complaint is still not understood :(. Lesson learned: Please check your bag before you leave the drive through and also do the math. Apparently the customer should know the the few pennies that separate a chicken bisuit from a BEC. It doesn't matter what the...
