Some reviews complain of price gouging for bourbon....
I’m a regular customer so I’ll give you the lowdown!
Yes there are some higher prices on harder to find bourbons.
However you won’t even find these bourbons on the shelf at any other liquor stores in the neighborhood so it’s a bit of a supply and demand play not price gouging.
Something that didn’t get talked about in other reviews, was the fact that they almost ALWAYS have a big suppy of a solid bourbon (1792, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace etc) for the best prices in town! Seriously.
What the snobby (and cheap) bourbon hunters don’t see when they are peering at the top shelf looking for a deal on a hard to find bourbon, is the stack of regularly available bourbon on sale at the best prices in town sitting behind them.
If you’re hunting for good, available bourbon and good prices, this is your spot.
If you’re looking for hard to find bourbon at cheaper prices...
This isn’t your spot.
If you’re trying to find hard to find bourbon and are willing to pay an extra premium to actually get it?
You should stop in.
I shop at all the liquor stores in Lyndon.
Each has its pluses and minuses.
I just didn’t want this place to get a bad rap because of some whiny bourbon...
Read moreAs other negative reviews have said, this place inflates their prices and are extremely dishonest. I placed an order for over $200 worth of alcohol and they delivered replacements for 4 of my 6 items. Not only did I not want the items and they refused to cancel the order, but they told me the items were the same prices as the original ones I ordered. Including a bottle of “Veuve Cliquot” that they said was not in stock and they replaced it with a bottle of “Domaine Carneros Brut” that they said was the same price.
Once I checked the price of the DCB after I got off the phone with other places around town, it was on average a $30 bottle of champagne, but I was still charged $76 for the Cliquot that I initially wanted.
I drove up to the store after I talked to them on the phone and interestingly enough it was the only bottle in the store without a price tag. When I pointed this out to the manager, he had no explanation and stated “it was his store and he could charge what he wanted.” If you are reading this, please don’t support a scummy business that takes advantage of...
Read moreThe employees act like you are bothering them when you go here. Horrible customer service. They have a good selection but its clear this guy buys way too much inventory at a time. I bought beer once and when i got home i found it was expired. You can barely move when you go in because of the bulk of stuff everywhere. Everything is way too expensive. Ex. Jim Beam 750 ml $16.99 here and $14.99 just about everywhere else. I only go here when I am too lazy to go a couple miles down the road as this store is practically next door to me, however, their continued rudeness and high prices have cut my visits down to near zero. Much improvement needed here or it will go out of business. My guess is the more customers dwindle, the higher the prices will become, and the owner will never fix the...
