Waffle House — Restaurant in Lyndon

First of all I have a very serious condition and rarely am able to leave the house. My family planned a special night out for all of us to be together. It was approximately 12:30 am on December 22 when we decided to have a late night meal here at this waffle house. It was not very busy, it had a few dirty booths but nothing out of the ordinary. We took a seat and waited for someone to clean the booths. We waited for over 15 minutes for a waitress to clean out a booth. Again, this place wasn’t busy. After sitting down at the booth our waitress gives us our silverware and just walks away. Doesn’t give us a menu or anything. Just walks away. After grabbing some menus ourselves from the counter beside our booth and waiting another 15 minutes, we finally wave our waitress down. The whole while we were waiting she was just laughing and socializing with another couple that had came in. FINALLY, she takes our order. There were 4 of us and we all knew exactly what we wanted. She acts like she understands what we want, then disappears again. A good while later she brings our drinks. We our sitting next to the grill and can easily see our food being prepared. Instead of cooking our waffles last, they were cooked first and left sitting on the counter while the other food was being prepared...... After another 30 minutes the rest of our food was ready and left sitting beside the grill while our waitress was socializing. The waffles were COLD. So cold that the butter wouldn’t even melt. The eggs and hash browns we’re missing the cheese we clearly ordered. My husband’s raisin bread was missing and our steaks were lukewarm. We tell the waitress about the incorrect items and she takes the food back and disappears. She left our cold waffles and lukewarm steaks, but gave no syrup for the waffles..... My son had to go get some off another table..... she finally comes back with our eggs and hash browns (now cheesed)- but my husbands raisin toast is still missing. We ask again about the raisin bread, she said she’d put in the order. In the meantime we asked for some refills. She refilled everyone’s drink but mine. She must’ve sensed we were getting mad bc she offered to take all the drinks off our ticket. Gee thanks. Still my husband’s toast and my drink are missing. Finally we got another employee to hand my husband his toast which again was just sitting on the bar beside the grill.... This waitress claimed she was new, but i doubt it. This was the worst waitress I’ve ever had in my life. The cooks and other staff seemed to be working hard but she was completely oblivious to taking care of her customers. I will not be going back here anymore. My one night of getting out, ruined by horrible service....

I absolutely love Waffle House, but this was the most disgusting restaurant experience I've ever had.

My wife ordered a double waffle, and I ordered loaded sausage hash browns. The waffles arrived a full 10 minutes before my food, so my wife offered me one of her waffles after we flagged down a different server to finally bring us syrup.

I cut the waffle up and lifted it up and there was a hair from our server on the plate underneath the waffle.

Another server took care of that for us and put it in order for another waffle. Around the same time I looked up and happened to see our server coming back from ringing people up at the register. He proceeded to stop at the grill, pick up my sausage with his bare hand and toss it into my bowl before walking over and putting a glove on.

Needless to say I didn't eat my food. We put it in a to-go container for the dog.

Also, the entire time we were there, a horrible sour smell would waft throughout the entire place. It was likely from the cooler that was left open nearly the entire time I was there. Not sure how it manages to keep that food fresh with the doors wide open all the time.

Was so excited when this first opened. It is so close, the people were friendly and the food was great. A month later? Whole different story. I came in with my kids for lunch as a treat for them because they had been asking to go back for a week. We were seated and I will say our server was nice. The place got busy pretty quickly after we got there so I tried to be patient with how slowly our order came out. I didn't give them grief when my order was wrong twice and they brought me something I didn't order to eat while they fixed it the 3rd time. But then we waited and waited and waited for drinks and then for the check. One of the line cooks looked at me and my children and said to his manager (name tag said "Matt"), " those people got to go." Which his manager laughed at a repeated to him. As if we were still sitting there by choice! We finally got our check after being there forever and my order being wrong twice and without so much as a "sorry." Couldn't get out fast enough. Will not return to this Waffle House. Will go back to the one on Pamela Rae where they know how to...
