I have always had a pleasant experience at this grocery outlet until today. When I walked into the store a woman with dark short hair and glasses stopped me as I was coming in and told me I could not take my backpack and my bag and water with me. I was not carrying a backpack at all and the bottle of water I had was an Evian bottle that the store does not even sell. The blue plastic bag I had contained paper towels and an empty planet fitness bottle. I have always showed any bag I come in with and tie it up while I shop because I am not a thief. I was not going to leave my purse, and blue plastic bag nor the water I was drinking with anyone except with me. I asked for the manager immediately and was told by another older woman that he was not there today. I told the lady that I did not like the way I had been treated just now by the woman with the short hair and glasses. While she was talking with me a lady and another man came in and the lady was in a wheel chair. She had several bags including her purse and the short haired woman too was giving her a hard time about it. The man with the woman with the wheel chair got upset and rightfully so. The items they had too were not even sold in the store. The manager of the store was there and I had been lied to. He came up to me and screamed "Don't ever come back here" to me and this is a manager that I know and who has always been very helpful and pleasant to me. I couldn't believe it. I told him that I would be back and that the way I was treated today was horrible by him and two of his personnel. Several customers heard the way he treated me along with the upset and angry man with the lady in the wheel chair. He resorted back to the office without an apology to either one of us. This is highly unacceptable and I don't ever want to be treated this way ever. Like I said I shop in this store a lot and have walked in with bags in the cart and have always showed personnel where they are from. I would like a call as soon as possible from corporate as this needs to...
Read moreI really like Grocery Outlet for a number of reasons. It is absolutely easy to shop there with a quick in and out compared to the mega grocery stores. The environment is exceptionally clean and quite possibly the cleanest restroom I've encountered in the retail landscape. Fruits and Veggies are fresh and tasty with competitive price points. There are some really good deals if you can live without name brand items. I purchased a couple pkgs of pork loin chops that grilled up nice and were delicious. There was a dedicated specialty Asian food and sauces section that absolutely Rocked! The prices were really low for many items - for example; soy sauce at 88 cents per 16 oz size Tried it on some raw tuna and with a dab of wasabi and I can't tell the difference between the leading brands. Overall, I like this store and I've made two subsequent visits since my first. Works great for me but if you need wide and deep selections of multi items, well, you know where to go. Thumbs...
Read moreIt is what it is. Prices are the same as Walmart. Off name brand products. There are some items you can save money on but what I saw was things nobody wants... Pigs feet, chicken broth. Some cheese was more than Walmart prices. Not impressed. Meat was same price as Walmart. Weird brands soda machine outside was 40cents a can. I guess it's good if you live way up there especially at rush hour. It appears occasionally they get bulk and discount it. How do you know what items though without going there and wasting gas? People in area yes go here if you pass by frequently. People south of here just go to Walmart grocery. Also a tidbit, I heard cashier say to customer in front of me they get their produce products from California and there is a drought there so that's why produce is more expensive than usual....
