Read moreMy mother and I went to the Countryside location this afternoon around 4pm. We hadn’t been shopping in over a month as my father was dying in the hospital. We were trying to make a $300 purchase. We spent over 30 + minutes in line to check out. The manager had only 1 lane open to check out besides the self checkout and no one working the front desk. The cashier and nagger were complaining in a manner wherein we could hear them. They were saying that they would handle the line until It was time for them to leave no matter what the line is. Then it was finally our turn. I think they were put off by the size of our basket. We unloaded it on the conveyor belt. about halfway through the bagger got vocal and was complaining she wanted the basket. But we were not finished unloading it. I told the cashier such. The bagger still kept complaining stating that she wanted the basket. I told her we are still unloading. My mother suggested that she got another basket but she ignored us. Once we finished being rung up, we attempted to pay. We were using 2 $100 visa gift cards and cash. My mother swiped the first one as a gift card. The cashier told us after that it was wrong. So then my mother attempted to swipe the 2nd one. But I guess she did it too fast. Anyway instead of trying to help us she goes to get the manager, who was very rude and didn’t do anything but tell us we could leave our basket. He says there was nothing he could do if the cards aren’t working. But here the point, the cards were brand new and we’re working. He didn’t even look at the register. Or attempt to fix the problem. I hate to admit, I lost it! I did use foul language and got mad at the rudeness. I needed the groceries. I spent more than 2 hours shopping and waiting and left mad and dissatisfied. We normally are loyal shoppers at Tony’s, even though there are two options we could use all within equal driving distance from my house. I have never been so frustrated and reduced to such aggravated behavior. The manger and his employees were totally unacceptable. Thanks to them I left furious and without the stuff I needed!!!

Read moreWent to Tony's this past Friday (04/14) around 5PM and honestly I prefer going to Tony's versus to anywhere else in the area. But a few things that rubbed me the wrong way was how some employees act when I went there this day. I went to the deli and other areas with no problems employees were nice. My issues started at check out in first was my cashier seemed peeved I was there with a medium amount of items not too much. Second was when she was scanning my items no one was bagging so my items were being squished cause the belt kept running like really? Either bag the items you did then proceed I know you don't have a bagger but put yourself in my position. I did see another employee bagging items in the next lane to my right but he just ignored switching over and I kept hearing him say out loud to I'm assuming passing manager when's my break? When's my break? Thirdly I bought some liquor and the cashier called for a older employee to scan said items. When asked for my ID from a employee wearing all black in which I guessed she was manning the customer service desk she asked the cashier if my ID looks fake? Seriously I'm 5 inches from you and I heard what you said like yea I just made this ID today how's it look?! And finally I looked over to the same young lady (employee) wearing all black standing in front of the service counter stand there while watching me bag my items. I get it finding people to do the job or people call off but come on I've worked in retail, fast food, etc. I know the pain it is dealing with customers but time and place for it all. I will shop still cause I like it but it doesn't look good when employees in the front are standing around where cashiers are getting slammed at times in which I seen it a...
