So I was just going to let the situation go, but! Before I do I must vent about my experience and to warn others. The company did good the first three years I been going to them. Communication has always been nonexistent, I’ve always had to call to ask when something was done. Due to being a customer for 3 years, I Decided to upgrade my whole stereo system for my 2016 ford fusion ( car is now totaled btw) not even 2 weeks into signing the financial agreement between Audio Zoo and Acima I had issues. Beware of installers who convince you to sign an agreement before installs are done and correct. For a week I had no air, heat, my door locks and passenger sides windows were affected and worst no music. The store manager at the time ( hmmm weird occurrence that Brock doesn’t work there anymore) basically told me in a unprofessional way, that the issues had nothing to do with the install , Audio Zoo had been conducting workon my car since 2021 before the install all of my functions of my car worked. Also I did my research and found that multiple ford fusion owners had the same issues until the electrical mount was configured correctly. Long story short I ask them, if they were confident with their trouble shooting abilities. Brock and John PROMISED to get me rolling again and with my music, both recommend a shop and disclosed that the damages would be payed for. I live in Perry, the shop is in Macon I took the car to the shop, the shop recommended me to leave the fusion for diagnostic, I got a Lyft to a friends house. As soon as I was dropped off I was called to pick up the car, the shop stating there was nothing they could do. I felt uncomfortable taking my car to another shop to be disappointed again. Long story short car was totaled I still own Acima 800 dollars. I have A double den player, a 500 dollar electric mount for a ford fusion which I don’t have anymore and a amp. Audio zoo stated to finance company Amica that they think it’s best if I go to another store. So much for loyalty, customer satisfaction, and just overall doing business correctly. I’m definitely done with this store….. really sad, money hungry and unprofessional! Do better communicating atleast! It’s not hard. Audio zoo never gave me any kind closure or apology. Worst part is I did my research about the double din upgrade for 2 years prior to me making the decision to upgrade, the day I did, I get told I have to get a 500 mount that would make the car totally electric and was never brought up before. Last warning take pictures of deals or pricing I was over charged for kenwood double din stereo. Now Acima wants all items back and I payed 700 owe 800. I literally feel like I was scammed smh. And had to buy a new car! I only owed for one more year. Like come on definitely...
Read moreI brought my truck in to get a basic install. I had installed an aftermarket stereo so all I wanted them to do is install a 4 channel amp and 4 speakers. What I got was a bunch of noise and other issues. The day the stereo was installed, I had issues rolling down the windows and the window hitting the back of the speaker magnets on all 4 speakers. On top of that, the installer did a poor job mounting tweeters behind the speaker grill on the dash. I was driving and the tweeter literally fell from it's location down to my ankle on the driver's side. I brought it back in the next weekend after speaking to the manager over the phone.
The cost for installation was very expensive and I found out that they did not run wires to each corner of the vehicle, but instead cut into the factory wires starting with the amp under the passenger seat and spliced into the speaker wires in the doors and the dash. I found this out later and after Audio Zoo closed temporarily due to COVID-19 outbreak when it first started to occur. After they "fixed" the issue with the tweeter falling through and the power windows hitting the back of the speaker every time you roll down the window, I had all kinds of engine noise going through the speakers.
I spent countless hours trying to resolve the issue and come to find out, they were running the tweeter of an Alpine Type R component set off of the head unit instead of the 4 channel amp! I ended up having to relocated the tweeters in the sail panel of the door and ran wire from the midrange to the tweeters like it should have been run in the first place.
These guys had 2 shots at resolving the issue and could not do basic installation. They also were very expensive for shoddy work that was done that I corrected. I was going to return to have a sub amp installed and purchase shallow mount subs, but they lost my business. I won't ever recommend or return to these guys again. I should have gone to Ken's or do it myself. I had installed a stereo system in my past few rides. It was more of a convenience factor for going with these guys and I ended up getting burned.
I was hoping that I could later remove the stereo and plug in the factory speakers and amp back when time comes to trade in or sell the vehicle. Now I don't have that option no thanks...
Read moreNice guys...I thought I found a good place after getting ripped off BIG TIME by Ken's. I was smart and bought everything online and only needed an install. We agreed on a price. It sounded worse than the Ken's install...they have no idea how to tune an amp. They had my balance going all over and fazer too. Not to the right speakers. Within a few months two of my Alpine 6x8s were buzzing. They said that they were blown...get Infinity, they're the best! So I replaced the two w Infinity. Same problem a few months later. They say more blown speakers. I said OK, I'm tired of it, just replace all four 6x8s with new Infinity Kappas. Now I have the exact same problem again. I took the eight 6x8s I had and put a multimeter on them. They WERE NOT broke as I was told. They work fine. I looked in my car behind the panels and some speakers were sideways, a cone was busted bc it was sticking out when you put the panel bk on or shut the door. The kicker to all this is that after we agreed on the install price, the guy who quoted it called me asking for $40 more. He said the install guy needed more $$$ on a 20 min job. Trust me. I know how to do it, I just wanted a pro. Didn't get one here and am looking for a new place I can trust. I'm sorry it happened cuz they were cool guys. I think a lot of the blame goes to the installer. The salesman was knowledgeable and helpful....
