Good day to :
David Sorbaro Stephen Sorbaro
I wanted to take the time and give credit where credit is do. I find that people spend a lot of time complaining or finding fault with the services they receive from different businesses. My name is Charles McDew and I retired from the United States Marine Corps after 25 years of service to our great country. The other day I had an appointment at the VA so I decided to stop in Mavis to price some tires. I left there with four brand new tires and feeling like a well valued customer. Explaining what a small unit leader is to be able to compare how you might have so many stores in a certain area that makes a region or something like that. In the Marine Corps different size numbers makes up different units. Ok my point is we use small unit leadership and you all do the same in the form of your managers just on a much safer platform. I was treated with great respect from everyone that was around the day I went there.
I would like to specifically speak about Mr. Jared, the manager who was on duty that day. This guy is awesome. He knew his job inside and out. He spoke very intelligently, explained the product well and he truly represents your company well. All of the employees there were all in uniform and looking very professional. The place was extremely clean inside and out was. I couldn't find one piece of paper on the ground. I am pretty sure that you don't always have the abilities and the allowance of time to get down to each store to figure out are they doing everything correct. Mr. Jared was by the book, professional and I had the thought that this guy should be like a Regional Manager to be able to train others how to manage a business such as yours.
I use to be a die hard Discount Tires guy. Not anymore. Mr. Jared has changed my mind, which is not an easy task. Thank you for your time and...
Read moreI was SO pleasantly surprised at this location!! Most places like this I've been to are dirty, loud, and unwelcoming. It is IMMEDIATELY apparent upon entering that those descriptors don't apply here: The waiting area is spotless, had an area for children to play, several seating arrangements, as well as PLENTY of outlets for your phone!
The associates immediately welcomed me and informed me they would be with me as soon as they could. My situation was unique and stressful, and they did everything they could to assist with the issue I was experiencing, truly going above and beyond what I could expect from a corporate branch.
Shoutout to the guys who helped me out that day! Bret is an awesome asset to your team! As a manager myself, I would be doing everything in my power to retain such awesome talent and people skills. He adds a great sort of familiarity to the interpersonal exchanges and truly cares about the work he does. Another big shoutout to the Manager, James! This man KNOWS HIS STUFF!! I was shocked when he took one look at my tires and said, "Got some suspension issues too, maybe?" He was right đ
Thanks to the team here, I have a little more faith restored in autoshops in general (though I think I've found a home for all my future jeep work right here at the Thomaston Rd. Mavis) and...
Read moreIt was an " if it can go wrong it will" kind of day. I was in Macon from out of town to deal with a family crisis, on a tight schedule and had a flat tire while running errands. I rolled in to Mavis on a spare not sure how badly my tire was damaged. The stop was actually just a wishful drop in in hopes " maybe" Mavis could get a tire(s) on and save me having to find the Walmart that was holding 300 dollars of tires for me. The kind staff came out - in the rain- looked at the damaged tire and said it could actually be fixed. Hearing my need to rush, they pulled a technician to do it right away. And not only did they repair the tire while I ran to the pharmacy on foot, their tech was loading my spare back under the car when I got back. Extra-ordinarily, they did all this at no charge.
Theses guys were a needed blessing and a bright spot in an otherwise very rough day. God is indeed good. And he used the team at Mavis to remind me of it this week. I'm...
