On the Rocks Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Madison Heights

Really disappointing service. Very insulting and rude waitress. Family friends have enjoyed this place many times, but this waitress ruined a family birthday lunch. The manager came to talk to the family and he only talked to a couple people, and he left saying he was embarrassed. However, no one received any discounts and he didnt offer us anything, not to our half of the table at least since we waited for literally 1 hour for food. Waitress rolled her eyes multiple times at each request, and appeared highly annoyed when we would point out we were missing something. She took 1/4 of our tables food order at a time. So 1/4 of our table was eating while the rest of our group watched. She ran 2 different people's credit cards twice in error. She kept blaming the computer for missing parts of our orders. When she came to me to take my order, I was so annoyed and ready to leave because of the horrible service, that I was only ordering soup that came with my daughters meal. She replied "are you trying to watch your girlish figure?". Im a plus size woman....it was a very rude and unnecessary comment to make. She was so unfriendly, so to make a comment like that , it definitely wasnt welcome. I quickly replied with honesty " no- I just dont want to have to wait forever for my food". Then when it came time to pay for the bills, she came up behind my boyfriend and said "ok, im ready" with a sigh, again with her face looked highly annoyed. The manager told us he will make sure she never waits on us, but honestly he doesn't have to worry about that because I will...

If you are a female please DO NOT go to this bar. The staff clearly has not been TIPS certified. Two regulars at this bar harassed us our whole night and the staff just laughed and played into it. Each of these “regulars” took it upon themselves to sit at our table and have conversations with us after numerous attempts of telling each of them to leave. Putting our purses next to us and putting our legs up on the seat didn’t even work. One of the regulars was even giving the bartender a hard time and refusing to sign his receipt. The other regular kept coming to our table and at one point when we stopped giving him attention and started ignoring him he helped his self to our fresh food that just came to us and started eating right off our plates. Both of these guys could barley walk, stand or talk and the employees kept serving them. The young inexperienced “manager” who we later found out was the owners son made excuses and protected the regulars and did nothing to help us. He tried to charge us for the food that his regular ate off of our plates. The whole staff saw the actions of both of these gentleman harassing us and trying to get handsy and simply did nothing. The food is priced reasonably for small business owners and tradesman like me. lunch specials rock And waitstaff has always been stellar always. I’m Sorry i wish me and my fiancé didn’t have a bad experience . Per the bad review below….

Horrible service we where there at 230 pm on the 29 of august. We sat in the bar seating area and watched the waitress walk by us 5 times. We counted it . And the bartender came out twice for another customer. Not even an acknowledgment what so ever.

We told the bartender guess your to busy for us and she had no response. So we left. I called to talk to the owner immediately after we left. David is a great guy But the bartender said he was to busy knowing I was the one that just left upset. Left me no choice to but leave this review.
