Kabob Royale — Restaurant in Madison Heights

Order: Falafel sandwich (request: add hummus, only pickles and cabbage veggies) Seasoned fries, chicken lemon soup.

Guy says, "I'm not going to charge you for hummus add". Well good, because there was none in the sandwich. Only couple pieces of smushy Falafel, ½ of a pickle, a bunch of large hard cabbage chunks. Worst, saddest Falafel sandwich I've ever had in my 25 years of eating Mid East foods. "Seasoned"? fries, small bits seasoned by old oil I guess. Soup was ok, 1 star for that. Glad I got that because the rest went into the trash.

Total was $15 some change, I tipped the rest of a $20 bill. Regretful waste, what a scam. The audacity to talk like you're doing something nice then send out this garbage...says a lot about the business. That's why the review rather than a call, so save the disingenuous reply. Idk how there's good reviews, probably low standard demographic that doesn't know quality Mid East food....

I stopped in here for the first time last week after my teenager, who had been sick for days with no appetite said "I'd really like a chicken pita sandwich"

The owner greeted me so warmly and was such a pleasure to interact with. I ordered a chicken kafta and a chicken shawarma pita and was shocked at how affordable they were. As I was about to leave, he asked if it was my first time there and gave me some homemade chocolate chip cookies to take home too.

I brought the food home for the sick kid and she scarfed a pita and two cookies down and loved every bite. Then the non-sick kid showed up and asked if they could have the other one - he loved it too. It's very difficult to get my kids to agree on anything, so this is a major win.

We had Kabob Royale cater our bridal shower for 40 people, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations!
