Capitol City Tattoo LLC — Local services in Madison

I've been tattooed by Ree (Rhiannon) before and I loved the tattoo she did for me and her artwork is amazing. Over the last week, I've been in contact with her about getting another tattoo. She communicated what she could do for the image I wanted, and when she'd be free. Since I live a couple hours away, I knew it'd be a little challenging getting in but I stressed to her that it'd be no problem driving there for the consultation and the tattoo. She also seemed fine with this. I had an appt this morning over the phone with her, which she never called so I called the shop. After I spoke, she then yelled at me and said she can't do this tattoo and I should look for someone closer to me. I tried explaining that I'm ok traveling to be tattooed but she cut me off to tell me again she couldn't do it. The tone of her voice was very rude and how she handled this situation was extremely unprofessional. I realize out of towners wanting tattoos can be a pain sometimes but I like to think it's a compliment that someone wanted to come back because they liked the artists work. I'm very disappointed in how Ree handled this. I will not be coming back to this shop...

Super unprofessional artist; poor choice on my part, I suppose. Ree (Rhiannon) was 30 minutes late to my consultation appointment, citing that she'd chosen to put on makeup as her excuse. Consultation lasted about 5 mins.

I showed up a week before my tattoo was scheduled, to preview the artwork, and she didn't have anything ready for me. I was willing to overlook the previous tardiness if the art was nice... and then she had nothing ready and didn't even remember who I was.

didnt come out how i wanted it to and it doesnt look the best. i told him i wanted it to be done and he did something different. will prolly have it removed in the future. and when the artist asked where i got my other tattoos done he said " oh they arent good artists , and you shouldn't go there" ( even though they came out better than what he just gave me ) the whole appointment he made it so unprofessional by talking about his rivals . the lines are so thick and blurred and there is so many mistakes. . should have paid $30 for this kind of work ...
