Posting because Iāve been ignored and this just isnāt right.
After spending hundreds of dollars at this local business over the past two months youād think that would at least give me the ability to have phone conversations honored. Iām well aware of the world we live in but the customer is always right! Especially when they prioritize shopping locally.
I called in advance to make sure it was okay that I bring back a plant that appeared in poor health. When I spoke to a staff member on the phone around noon that day I was advised that even though the store may not have the same plant in stock I could bring the plant back and exchange it for a different oneā¦a healthier plant.
After getting the okay to bring in the plant or so I thought. I packed up the plant with care and brought it down to the store. It should be noted that I provided the plant with clean soil after finding meal worms in it. I also provided the plant with a trellis. When I entered the store I waited for other customers to check out then proceeded to mention the phone call I made earlier. The store employee informed me immediately that the person I spoke to on the phone left at 2 oāclock. I asked if that mattered because I was told on the phone that the store was open till six and that he informed me I was able to exchange it.
That was their first attempt in writing me off.
A second staff member ( Jordan) who was there when I purchased that plant along with several others⦠then decided to inspect the plant mentioning that their store doesnāt do exchanges.
The plant is not in good condition. Customers should be satisfied with higher priced purchased right. Instead I was given a lecture and made to look a fool in front of other customers that were standing and watching the entire interaction.
Iām a young African American woman, a home owner in the Atwood neighborhood, who has spent over $400 now at your business and the way that my time was wasted today was unacceptable. Iām not sure if this is how you treat all of your customers but it wasnāt appreciated.
I wanted to reach out via email before leaving reviews on social media. Iām sure that Jordan is just an employee and not the entire representation of your business but Iām hoping there can be a different outcome to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper friendly and cool staff. Really knowledgeable and clearly have a passion for plants and have a great understanding of what they carry and what they donāt carry. They will be honest if they donāt have the best solution or product for an issue or pot for a repot. They have a specific section for pet safe plants as well. Great collection and wide assortment of common plants for very reasonable prices, in addition to some beautiful more expensive plants that are much larger or rarer. Only things that I would say are a bit marked up are glazed pots and soil/plant accessories, but I also understand that as a small business that may be one of the areas for the most profit, and it may just be out of my current budget as a young adult. Houseplant beginners and experts will have much to find here, and something to find on any budget. Terracotta and clay pots are the cheapest Iāve seen and they offer hole drilling and repotting in store as well. While youāre in the area, if youāre looking for a one of a kind pot you can stop at St Vinnys thrift shop across the street as well. Great area, great store, great staff, great selection. Have to limit myself on how much I stop by for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI contacted Madison Greenhouse for several reasons, the first being the great reviews. I'm still stunned by the very bizarre and poor customer service. It started when I sent an email yesterday explaining what I needed, and that I wanted delivery, and to contact me about the details. After not hearing from them for 24hrs, I called. First they told me they didn't get the email. But then they somehow found it. We chatted briefly, but then I was told they needed to call me back. (I don't remember why they couldn't continue to help.) Later on, I received a call, but let it go to voicemail because I was driving. When I got home, the voicemail said "I can't seem to reach you at this number, so I'll respond to your email." That's fine, but there was no response. So I called back. This time I got a different person, so I asked for the original person by name. At that point I was questioned whether I knew that person personally, and was basically questioned about why I was calling (to buy stuff!) Then she told me that there were three other people to help, and the original person would call me back in 5 minutes. Then nothing. I'm pretty sure Walmart could do...
