DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Madison

Came to get some new dress shirts and a suit to buff up my wardrobe and get ready for a new job. Dean helped me out and was absolutely incredible from start to finish! He helped me get measured for shirts, suits, and pants, gave input on style when requested, and helped me find things available in my size (I'm at the very small end of the Big and Tall store scale so its sometimes difficult to find things in my size). Dean was also incredibly personable, congratulating me on the new job, asking questions with genuine care, and really just made me feel great throughout the shopping experience. Finally, the suit pants that I wanted to get to match the suit jacket were not in the store in my size. Not only did Dean locate them online, he ordered them on my behalf and had them shipped to my apartment (they arrived ahead of schedule as well which is a bonus).

My 16 year old son is already six feet and five inches tall, and he's not built like a twig, so we don't have many options for clothes for him. This is the only big and tall store we could find in Madison. The prices are ridiculous, forty-five bucks for a tee-shirt, eighty bucks for a swimsuit that wasn't even lined. But when you don't have options, you have no choice. If that's not enough, we live 45 minutes outside of town and on two different occasions drove into Madison just to discover a note on the door saying they're closed for the day or out for a couple of hours. Even after calling to make sure they were open, only to get there and find another note on the door informing us that we'd have to wait an hour. It's nice to be able to go to a store and try on clothes and see them in person before buying them, online shopping doesn't provide this. I've spent many decades frustrated by my size and finding clothes that fit properly. I've tried all the big box stores multiple times, leaving just as empty-handed and frustrated as the previous times.

After relocating a year ago to the suburbs of Madison Wisconsin, I came across the need to revamp my wardrobe slightly. Just the thought of wandering again helplessly around the big box stores looking for anything that might even come close to fitting, I thought I might try the local DXL.

Upon entering, I was greeted with a smile by Dean (a rare reminder of what true customer service is all about). Dean took a few measurements and within minutes delivered the very items I was looking for. No more frustration, excellent selection and leaving with that same infectious smile that Dean greeted me with only minutes before.

Rest assured, with this kind of peerless service, I now know where I'll be returning again and again when the need arises. Bravo...
