We went for dinner last night and ordered a few dishes. Food we ordered was amazing, but the service was very crappy. When they got us appetizers, we requested chillie sauce, but they didn't get it. When serving the main course, we again reminded but, still she didn't get it. Eventually, one of us had to get up to reach out to the waitress to request the chillie sauce for 3rd time before we got the sauce. Usually, sauce bottles are kept on the tables, but that wasn't the case Apart from that, we ordered Soup, wishing to have something hot (instead of tea) which they never served us. Only towards the end, we realized. With our food order, we also placed a to-go order. However, they started preparing it after we paid and ready to leave, and we had to wait for a while. Usually, when taking orders, they should have asked if we wanted brown or white riice, but they did not, When taking the delivery, we realized and requested brown rice. God knows what, though there were only 3 more customer tables they were serving, they again made us wait for soooo.. long. In spite of all the mistakes, the waitress was not apologetic. Instead, the waitress was rude and blamed us for hurrying and speaking to us very harshly. This waitress is a young girl, hoping the owner provides some training to her on...

Food: 5, Environment: 4, Service: 4 You can tell the people who cook for you actually care. My husband and I ordered an appetizer, an entre (curry) and a dessert. The amount was perfect for us. So if you don't want leftover I would recommend sharing so you get to eat a good amount (not too much) of each dish.

I had heard quite a few people saying how delicious Sa Bai Thong's food was. So even though I cook Thai dishes at home quite often, I still gave it a try. I ordered something I don't make at home (or just yet): papaya salad (level 4 spicy), massaman curry (level 3 spicy), and ended my meal with a dessert: sticky rice with coconut custard. Salad was good: the saltiness of the fish sauce and the crunch/freshness of the papaya made me want to eat more... It did it's job being a decent appetizer. Then it came the massaman curry, which was addictive. The chicken didn't add much to the dish, because the curry itself was so flavorful, the rich coconut cream with all the spices you want, with potato and apple just blended in so well.. I could eat another bowl of rice with that! Last but not least, the sticky rice rounded my meal pretty well. I'll...

We Must go there once per week! We drive 1.25 hrs each way. This place has been running 29 years in business. Poppy and Sonny have had it for the past 2 years. They took it to a whole new level. Sonny had worked there since 2010; Poppy since 2011. Combined, they've been there 17 years, but the: ve run high end establishments in Thailand since teenagers.

Beautiful renovation with the now. Combined with their experience in authentic cooking. It looks like art.

Food is better than ALL of Thailand! Owners are Santipap and Aue Wanasat Su. It's easier to call them Sonny and Poppy. Most beautiful young couple we've ever met! Menu is massive.

We order takeout meals for a week ahead. They have happy hour and outside cafe now. We make a party of 12 each week we go. Lunches or dinners, whatever works for our schedules, food is beyond healthy.

This place is an "experience" that gets better each week. Every month they make a secret dish that isn't on the menu. And, it always the best dish to try.

Our group loves this hard working beautiful young couple l, so does their staff. They make everything special fircus.

You will not be...

First: as other people said, the curries are really good. However, I would say the dining experience and communication in general could be improved. We left another restaurant before coming here because they said the wait would be an hour, which is totally fine - I’m happy they had that much business. However, after being seated at Sa-Bai Thong, it took probably about 75 to be brought our food. I totally get that sometimes restaurants get busy, but I thought it was kind of thoughtless of them to not mentioned that they were slammed. For the food itself, the curry was good. The stir fry noodle dish was not very good, though - the noodles were almost mealy, and the dish as a whole wasn’t super great. The service was generally fine - everyone was clearly in a rush, and one of the waitresses promised something, then didn’t follow through - but again, there is only so much you can do when you are busy. I would say maybe give this restaurant a try, but only when you have plenty of time to spare.
