“Hey, that looks like your kind of shop! Do you go there?!?” “I’m a big girl, you can’t really shop at vintage places when you’re plus sized so… no, I don’t shop there.” So went a recent conversation of mine with a friend as we walked by this shop. I love the look of this shop and I’ve stopped in. I’ve never felt unwelcome by the owners or employees, but as a fat person I haven’t felt comfortable either. I want my fellow big girls to know, they don’t organize by size. So if you go in to shop, you have to sift to find things that appear to be organized in no discernible way. It’s vintage, so we know that we will struggle to find anything as big people… but the shop doesn’t make it any easier for you either. It’s nothing bad about the shop, it’s how most vintage shops operate and organize. But it’s just not going to be a comfortable experience for most people in bigger bodies. I love the vibe and style though. I’m sure if I was a straight size it would be a 5 star shop for me. I love Stillgoods so much! Stillgoods is definitely my first stop if I am looking for an outfit for an event or specific pieces that I am missing in my wardrobe. It is also a great place to resell things that I do not wear anymore. I love that you can get more value in store credit for the things they buy from you over taking cash. Gwynne, Cat and all of the employees are so nice and supportive. If you go in looking for something specific, be sure to let Gwynne know! She usually always has what you're looking for. Even though they didn’t see anything they liked that I brought they still took their time to look through and was welcoming and kind. And since I now know what they are looking for I’ll go back to see if anything I have in the future would interest them. I just had the nastiest experience at good style shop that made me really greatful for this shop, so I do recommend shopping and trying to sell here. Very positive and professional and comforting when they didn’t want anything they didn’t make me feel stupid or embarrassed....
