The store its self is altight, a supermarket with everything you expect.

Since the remodel they unfortunately removed the belt style self checkouts this is disapointing, since the belt weighed your item and let you bag after..

Now its the bagging area style, and they are not really coded for bring your own bag by default.. so you need to select you have your own bag (small nearly hidden button) so it wont think you are stealing things when you put the bag in the bagging area.. just overall less user friendly even if i know how to use it.

Last next to the self checkout seems to frequently be a rude employee saying "im open" as if most people who use the self checkout didnt choose so.. we know your lane exists this however is less stressful for one reason or another and it may be as simple as extra time to make sure the bag is ready for walking accross town. If the cachiers are that worrid about their job up front its already time to relocate them to other tasks.. if there is a line you may politely ask but if someone is there

Madison STOP AND SHOP on Main Street in Madison New Jersey is the most RACIST and Prejudice store in town.. First off as soon as I walk in and start loading my cart with Vegetables There’s a message over the loud speaker that says “ Please send more security to checkout and to the front of the store”. I shop for the month when I do go shop so I had to put a lot of things in my cart, the whole time store associates and managers were coming up and all around me to watch me. Like get serious- get over yourself Madison. When I finally reached the checkout with over 140 dollars in groceries there were 3 security guards posing as help suffocating me at the register. Not to mention there systems kept screwing up where I needed assistance over 8 times. This is 2023 this is the racism everyone thinks has gotten better but this is a clear example that it hasn’t at least for this asymptote location. I should have left the groceries and walked out but unlike your store, I came to buy groceries so I paid and left…. Will never ever go back to Madison Stop and Shop and will tell people about this. Poor Job guys really POOR JOB at serving the community. Black or Brown...

This is the fourth time that we have caught this establishment in swapping prices and mislabeling items. When we bring it to their attention, they then act as though we, the customer, are in the wrong with snarling faces and sluggish customer service. We will never shop here again. our recommendation is to go to ShopRite only a half a mile further or Whole Foods or Kings. They are rude and obviously trying to dupe their customers in paying higher prices. Please see the photo from today’s purchase.

My husband bought this meat and when he got to the register he was charged $34 versus the $7.99 price as marked. When he took it to customer service to return it and get the proper pricing, he had to go back and take a photo. The customer service lady was rude and indignant. Never again!!! Go anywhere else but this place is a scam!! Once may have been a mistake, but four times is a pattern and obviously their habit of trying to fake customers into paying...
