Calhoun's Custom Meats — Local services in Madisonville

Awesome: Madisonville (Hopkins County, KY) now has an actual butcher shop! Nice clean store, kind staff, great prices and selection on local beef and pork! They do have other meats as well. If you come to compare prices be sure to note that this meat is of a much higher grade that the conveyor belt meat from the grocery stores. The prices are not dirt cheap but you get what you pay for and that is quality.

I don't know about you but I am fearful to buy meats that may be recalled tomorrow from the chain stores. I can't tell you how many times the meat from a grocery store goes bad quick even within 24 hours, sometimes the meat may look good in the store but when you get it home it is discolored on the bottom or throughout.
