I'm originally from L.A and moved here not too long ago. Being hispanic, I've been in search of a great mexican restaurant that'll be just as good as the ones I grew up with. And can I say that this place does the job. We can start with the atmosphere. It's got a nice, calm tone to the restaurant. It's not big but it is a nice size for a comfortable and cozy dining experience. The staff was very good at making sure we had drinks and were very nice. The chips and salsa we started with were great. Love the good old chips and salsa. When the food came out, the smell alone made my mouth water. I ordered the Nueve Fajitas which came with beef, chicken, and shrimp with an assortment of vegetables. Then on the side it came with refried beans, rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. Now if this sounds good to you, then I can assure you that it tastes as good as it sounds. It was amazing. The tortillas it came with were nice and hot, and the fajitas were sizzling, just the way I like them. The meal was absolutely delectable and I would most definitely come back. And if you like desserts, I recommend the flan. Being a long time fan of the custard-like caramel dessert, this restaurant did a pretty great job of reminding me why I...
Read moreI've been here twice on work-related lunches, the first one was a sales associate that took out our 10ish people department. We ended up sitting outside on the patio (I don't think the inside would have accommodated us well). We were lucky for nice whether and the porch was very nice and spacious. We ended up sharing multiple guacamole and cheese dipping sauces as well as the typical/free Mexican restaurant chips and salsa. The guacamole bowl was huge and freshly-made (my personal favorite).
I ended up getting the Jalisco Special (as recommended by co-workers). It was delicious, however I was unaware that I could get a half order and therefore it was too much for me to eat in one sitting and I had a left overs for the next day.
The second time I went was an introduction to the team lunch for a new-hire this time we set inside and the 5 of us were placed in a corner booth that was slightly less space than desired. I think inside it must have been slightly louder as my order got misheard and one of the to-go orders we placed was the wrong...
Read moreWhen we arrived, the servers were too busy chatting in the servers alcove to even greet us, more or less to seat us. My folks had Ribeyes. They seemed alright, very thin but temped well. Nothing I would take a picture of and share though. I had the Burito Grande with steak. It was pretty good. Again, nothing that I would write hone about. Would I go back again, sure. I wouldn't be expecting anything more than a mediocre meal, but it was good enough that it wasn't a deal breaker. The restaurant itself could use a little TLC. Wasn't necessarily dirty but just had a lot of differed maintenance that probably should have been taken care of a year or two ago. All in all, it's a MEH experience. It could have been much better with just a little more...
