I do not live any where near this store, but will drive here occasionally to get my fix of great prices. Their deli section has a wide variety of fresh meats, salads and a variety of cheeses. I appreciate that the deli area is well-staffed so service is quick, and the employees are very friendly. They do not usually ask "how do you want that sliced" so if you want your deli luncheon meat sliced thin, medium or thick, you may have to speak up and be assertive. They have a really nice bakery section where you can either buy one slice of dessert or an entire cake or pie. I am not big on sweets, but I do like their individually sliced cakes. When I was here last time the female employee, in the bakery, was throwing away cakes and cookies. My heart sunk as I thought about all the homeless people in the State of IL, who go without a meal (let alone a slice of cake or pie). Why not donate it to a shelter? I am sure it was only a day old (maybe two at the most). The store is very clean and well-organized which I also appreciate. They have several aisles of International foods (look up to the ceiling for the colorful flags (if you are looking for a specific food product, such as, spices or rice). They offer products from India, China, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Italy, France (just to name a few). The fresh meats are fairly good, but their steaks are not so great. I have yet to purchase a steak that is tender melt-in-your mouth deliciousness. The parking lot is very large. Their produce is average. I only wish they offered more organic products in their produce department. Don't be afraid to approach an employee if you are looking for something specific. The employees are very helpful and friendly. They are open to helping, which I also appreciate. Customer service is fairly good...
Read moreI am sorry to give this store such a low rating because I like their selection and their prices are good. But this particular Tony’s is where customer service goes to die. It’s awful. Today was the third visit I’ve made here, and each one was worse than the next, so I’m not going back. I didn’t want to base my opinion on one bad visit, but after 3, I’m done. I think the problem stems from not enough people working there, and the people they do hire are not good at their jobs. They all seem angry and stressed, and the entire experience is just grim. I can shop anywhere, and from now on it will be anywhere else but this Tony’s. Here’s one example: They had bags of limes on sale, but every bag I picked up had a rotten or brown lime in it.
I went to Customer Service on an unrelated matter, and as I started to talk, I was told to “Wait.” And he walked away. When he returned a few moments later, he said “What is it?” Rude & dismissive. No idea how to...
Read moreI’m only rating this store a 1 star because one of their workers, named Mark, who does carts and bagging is stalking me and he will not stop. I work a few stores down and every time he works, he will come down by my store and stare in to see if I’m there working that day and if I am working, he will do this multiple times a day. If he sees me walking to and from the store, he will chase me down and ask me inappropriate questions. He will follow me back to my store and if I’m in the Tony’s, he will follow me around the store. It’s getting to the point that it’s making my coworkers feel creeped out also and they’re scared for me of this guy. I’ve tried to be nice about getting him to stop, but he WILL not and I fear I may have to involve the police because of his actions.
Please, tell him it’s not okay to make customers feel creeped out! It makes me not wanna shop there and I love the store besides the...
