D1 Training St. Louis West — Local services in Manchester

Being a life-long athlete, and a professional one for several years, I've had the fortunate opportunity to work with the world's best trainers and physios. Now in my mid-30's, looking and feeling much different from my peak physical form, I did the typical gym routine. But it wasn't getting me back to fighting shape and as we all know, once frustration sets in, it's easy to take a turn to the fat and unhealthy side. I needed something different, and someone to guide me back to the athlete lying dormant inside. As luck would have it, I work across the street from D1 Training - STL West and decided to walk in and check it out. From the moment I stepped in the door and spoke with the team, I knew this was a very special place. Not only are the facilities top-notch, but the coaches, trainers and entire staff are of the highest quality. As an athlete I felt I was finally home. A place where I could train like I was accustomed to, by coaches who work solely with ATHLETES, no matter what their athletic level or future goals, everyone is welcomed as family. The daily workouts are extremely tough, but the coaches are always there to push you beyond your self-imposed limitations. After joining only one month ago, I've attended classes five to six days per week, and can already feel my body transforming back to peak condition. I am extremely grateful to the entire staff, especially the phenomenal coaches who have a knowledge base that is only found at the highest-level of athletics. Absolutely horrible company and facility. My son has been in the D1 Rookie class for over 6 months. We did not see any results in weight loss, increase of mobility, or more self consciousness thus far. Now for the summer, D1 has changed the Rookie evening class to a daytime summer camp that runs 9 am to 3 pm. We both work so can not make those times to drop off or pick up. I have called D1 several times a day, several days a week, for 3 weeks now and no one ever answers the phone! I have left over 15 voicemails and no one ever calls back. I finally had to delete my credit card because they don't answer the phone but will happily take your money! If you want any type of customer service, as pathetic as it may be, you will have to go to their facility and get someone to there to hopefully help you. Do not waste your money or your time, just go to a different gym and find a properly certified trainer that can address your specific needs somewhere else. My son (Colin - 11 years old) was looking for something that would benefit him in both swimming and football. We had a couple friends who were already at D1 and decided to try it out. Figured what do we have to lose?

I’m not exactly sure what my expectations were walking in the door, but in the short time we’ve been there I have been blown away! The instructors are fantastic. The workouts are difficult (which they should be!) and the instructors do an amazing job of teaching the proper techniques and motivating the athletes through the workout. The one thing I know I didn’t expect was that my son is excited when D1 is on our calendar that day and enjoys the workouts there!
