Not worth coming here! Believe the negative reviews because everything they say is true. First of all, my mother bought so much jewelry from him. She got earrings in which the back of them doesn’t stay. The screw portion is loose, so we figured next time we come here we will ask if he can fix it. We came here to buy my husband a wedding ring today. My parents got to the store before us at 12, when they say they open. He came up to the door and was turned away and asked to wait because the jewelry was out and they were setting up. That’s understandable, but why are you doing this every time? If you know you open at 12, start setting up at 11:30. Several reviews state that they say they open or close at a certain time and don’t allow the customer in. My dad said something along the lines of “shame on you” because … why are you lying about opening time and turning people away / making them wait 30+ minutes when they drive from far away? Then, we get into the store finally when me & my husband arrive & the guy immediately starts yelling loudly and saying “oh you got mad at me” etc etc. we were there to buy something, just have good customer service. He didn’t apologize to my parents that he turned away, just made it worse by yelling. We asked him about the earrings that were broken and if he could fix them and he was still going on with an attitude “you didn’t tell me!” We are telling you now? I let it go and began looking at rings. My husband says “what’s the price on this one? 1075?” And my dad states “no that’s not the price” because he literally thought that was not the price, he wasn’t being rude in any manner. And the guy says “well he knows everything he can tell you the price” referring to my dad. Then, I spoke up because is this how you treat paying customers? Is this how you talk to my elderly parents? Absolutely do not come here because this was the most disgusting, disrespectful behavior I’ve ever seen from any Indian person. Have some respect and...
Read moreI love this store! In 2002, I bought two pair of earrings and a salwar kameezebto wear during my wedding, and I have been a Vardhaman's fan ever since. My late husband would occasionally buy me jewelry from here for special occasions, and as soon as I saw the red box with their name I knew I would be happy with what was inside. When he died a year ago, I decided to buy a set of bangles that could be passed to my nieces and nephew in his name. I knew they would have to come from Vardhaman's.
I have looked, and you won't find a better selection, quality, or price for new 22K gold in the area. Sure you can take a risk online or drive six hours (twelve total) to Chicago, but even then I think it's doubtful you would make out much better (if the cost of travel and IL taxes means you would save anything at all). The six bangles I purchased were only slightly more expensive than we paid for 22K jewelry at my husband's family jeweler in Dhaka, and that was two years ago (2022) when gold cost less.
I'm so glad Vardhaman's is still here after all these years. There aren't many stores in the area that have played such a large role in my life and mean so much to me. I hope they are around for decades to come! Thank you for always being such a wonderful place to buy heirloom-quality items at a fair price.
(Photos are of a few of the items I own thay were purchased from Vardhaman's and wear as my daily jewelry - they really are not as shiny as they should be because I rarely clean...

I was there to buy gold coin and noticed that they do not give any certification of authenticity, so I changed my mind and asked for silver coin.
It’s like you’re spending almost $3k without knowing if it’s real gold or not, on top of that they say that NO RETURNS. (How amazing)
They sell a 1 Oz of .999 fine silver coin for $65 without any certification. Whereas, you can find similar coin in the market for somewhere between $34 - $40 and that comes with certificate of authenticity.
lol I almost paid double the price for the same product (APPLES TO APPLES) that I could have received from elsewhere if I would have done my research.
I hope they have sold me a REAL silver coin.
On top of that worst customer service. Do not recommend this...
