M&R Liquors — Local services in Manchester

Just bought some UFO Harpoons there today, got them home, loaded them into the fridge and broke down the box. Had my first beer and it was GROSS, tasted skunked. Found out it was expired, so I called M&R and asked if I could exchange them. The lady that answered said "Whatever you do, do it fast we close in 10 minutes". So I raced back to be greeted with an attitude. The same lady told me (with the manager at her elbow) that she didn't want to open another case of the same beer because those might be expired too. Soooo.. you don't want to open another case because A) if its expired I won't want it and some other customer might not buy the expired beer and you'd lose money. Or B) its not expired and I bring it home... classy. I picked another case of beers that was less money, but didn't get the money owed to me. Never going back. Not to mention the dates should be printed on the box as well as the bottles so this doesn't have to...

I used to go to the M&R in the Southington when I lived there, so I was happy to see one when I moved to Manchester. Unfortunately, based on a couple of recent experiences, I have found one of the guys that works at this location to be incredibly rude and dismissive. I had two experiences with him (two separate shopping visits), and he was rude both times. Like over the top rude. I've never experienced anything like it at a liquor store. I'd recommend this place only if you are in a pinch. Otherwise, go to Manchester Wine and Liquors on Tolland Turnpike. Their selection is equally great, and the owners and staff will go above and beyond to deliver exceptional...

i can get more beer to take home if i go in there and give them money for the beer. i never have enough beer at home. i hate it when i reach in my last 30pack for a beer and the paper beer carton comes out of the beer refrigerator hanging off my beer arm attached to my beer hand with the last beer. i run out of beer all the time but M&R never seems to ever run out of beer. i love having beer in the morning. i love having beer in the afternoon. i love having beer at night. i love beer outside. i love beer inside. i drank all my beer. i have no beer. i need beer. please bring me...
