I got my hair done here on Monday this week, after being highly referred to this salon by two people. I really enjoyed talking to the girl who did my hair, but when she finished, I was upset with how my hair came out. Her final remarks is that it will take more than one session to get me where I want to go (but never mentioned it before she was done). I wanted to go platinum blonde (from an ashy blonde color) and my hair is a caramel fake looking yellow color with streaks of red and dark brown. It’s horrifying and I called the salon manager to discuss how to proceed. This was my first time having a really bad hair experience and i told the salon manager I wanted to see someone else because if this girl messes my hair up again, it would destroy me. To be honest, I am terrified to let the same person touch my hair again. The manager gave me two options; a 50% refund or come back and see the same person who screwed my hair up so she can attempt to fix it. I contacted another salon and had them look at it and they told me it would an additional $200 to $300 to fix it, on top of the $300 I already spent. I am so upset that this salon doesn’t take accountability for their mistakes and chooses to protect their stylists over keeping their customers happy. They are not a team, like any of the salons I have been to. I will never go here again, and if you are blonde, I do not recommend this place. If you do go there, remember that if they screw up your hair, you will have no choice but to live with it or see the same person who messed it up in the first place. That is really a shame because they are all very nice, but nice is not enough when your expensive balayage hair color looks like you did it at home with a $10 box die. I got my hair colored and cut and they told me they would get the color pretty close to what I was looking for, I spent 5.5 hours there and the color turned out completely different then what I wanted, then the stylist didn’t even know how to add waves to my hair. I left there very disappointed, but then the next day when I go to straighten my hair I noticed it was literally chopped all crooked and one side of my hair was 1.5 inches shorter then the other, I was so upset. It looked like a 3 year old chopped my hair, I couldn’t tell when I left the salon because it was waved so it wasn’t as noticeable. I noticed the stylist was rushing towards the end of my appointment and her cutting was not precise at all. I then returned the salon two days later for them to fix it and they put me with an even worse hair stylist who didn’t even wet my hair before cutting it and had no experience whatsoever so she literally tried to cut blindly and not even do a good job trying to fix the 1st stylists failure, I’m telling you no one at this salon is experienced. Do not go here if you want to have professional looking hair or even decent hair, they ruined my hair like never before, im so disappointed I now have to cut my hair as short as a bob and I never even wanted it close to that short. I originally reviewed this business at two stars, but the owner of the salon reached out to me, determined to give me a positive experience. After a free consultation to make sure I was getting what I was asking for, I went in for a second haircut from Sam and am so much happier! The experience was fantastic and I was really impressed by the owner's dedication to customer satisfaction. I didn't want to be a diva client, but BLU made me feel great about coming back in for another cut. I'm definitely going to recommend BLU to others and will be returning for future cuts and services. Very, very happy customer.

The staff was absolutely wonderful and the space was gorgeous. I didn't have a great experience, unfortunately. I felt like my stylist was distracted and rushing the entire time, and I paid for a "deva cut" but literally all she did was give me a trim, no layers. I left pretty unhappy with my $55 haircut and am probably going to get it cut again--elsewhere. I don't want to be rough on my stylist; I've seen her work on their Insta and she's very talented. But I don't think she was very invested in me or my hair. I know I'll never schedule myself as the first appointment on a Saturday morning again.
