Wow, just WOW!

I had an appointment near this restaurant three weeks ago, and after the meeting I was hungry for lunch. I searched for restaurants near me and Thai Pa popped up.

I went there seeking a simple, delicious lunch with no expectations.

But I have now visited the place for lunch three weeks in a row and cannot say enough about how much I love this new restaurant!

On my first visit, I ordered Pad See Ew with beef, a lovely mix of perfectly seasoned and cooked beef, delicious broad rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, egg and Thai soy gravy. It was incredible, cooked perfectly in a glorious melding of flavors, textures, and visual delight.

Truly a delicious and filling dish that was a perfect first taste of this place.

On my second visit I ordered shrimp Pad Thai, which was also delicious. The shrimp were fresh and perfectly cooked, tying in well with the noodles, bean sprouts, sauce and other savory flavors in this classic dish.

But on my third visit, all expectations were knocked out of the park when I ordered Khao Soi Chicken. OMG!

Prin, the owner of the restaurant, suggested it to me when I asked him to show me his specialty dish on the menu.

So, what is it? Khao Soi Chicken is a blend of tender, delectable, and unbelievably flavorful chicken in an incredibly amazing "Chiang Mai" coconut curry "soup" that has some heat. I don't like spicy hot heat, but let me tell you, I LOVED THIS SPICY HOT HEAT. :) And ask for extra napkins, because you will need them. :)

Truly, a brilliant blend of flavors, textures, and spices that had me exclaiming to the server and to Prin, the chef -- who came out to ask what I thought about the dish -- that this was one of the most delicious dishes I have had in a Lancaster, PA restaurant in my 35 years of living in Lancaster County.

So, my review?

I highly recommend Thai Pa and its food, quality, and creativity.

This little place is buried in the back of a building off the road and in a mixed-use residential location. It is worth driving around inside the parking lot to find it!

And send your friends and family!

Believe me, once you eat here you will want this delicious new restaurant to grow and thrive so we can all keep eating there and enjoying their delectable Thai food wizardry!

And please tell Prin that Todd sent you. :)

I visited Thai Kitchen PA once a few years ago, but I hardly remembered the experience and didn’t leave a review at the time. Since I was in the area and craving Thai food, I decided to give it another try.

The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. The water they served didn’t have any ice, and neither did the refill. I also noticed there wasn’t much for kid’s or child-sized portions available, which makes this a less ideal spot for families unless your child is sharing your meal or you’re ok with paying for a full adult portion and taking the leftovers home.

I ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp, which had a good level of heat, just right for my taste. However, the shrimp still had the tails on, which I found inconvenient since they were covered in sauce and required using my hands to remove them.

The service was ok, and the restaurant appeared clean, including the men’s restroom. I do remember that from my original experience.

Overall, this restaurant is pretty average. Looking back, I can see why my first visit didn’t leave much of an impression. I’d probably explore other Thai spots in the area before coming back here.

Response to owner:

Hello,

Thank you again for your response. I want to clarify that there was no ice in the water at all during our visit, not just a need for extra ice. I believe having ice in water should be a basic standard and available without needing to request it.

Also, regarding the shrimp, I had no idea they would be served with tails on. The menu doesn't specify, and our server...

The Authentic Thai Experience Lancaster Desperately Needed!

When we moved to Lancaster over a year ago, one of our biggest disappointments was the serious lack of good Thai food. Having spent time in Thailand, we know what real Thai flavors taste like, and we had almost given up hope—until we found PA Thai. Even though we only ordered delivery, the food arrived fresh, fragrant, and absolutely phenomenal.

We went all in with our order: Green Curry, Red Curry, Pad Kra Pow Pork Belly, Papaya Salad, Pad Kra Pow Chicken, Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew—and every single dish was a home run.

The curries were rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful, with just the right balance of spice and creaminess from the coconut milk. The Pad Kra Pow (holy basil stir-fry) was bold, garlicky, and packed with that signature Thai basil flavor.

And let’s talk about the spice level—when they say Thai spicy, they mean it. VERY HOT!

We’ll be ordering again and coming...

This evening, I had the pleasure of dining at Thai PA Kitchen for the first time, and I can see why it comes highly recommended. The food was absolutely delicious! I was particularly excited to try the Khao Soi Chicken, a famous Chiang Mai dish consisting of thick egg noodles in a rich coconut curry, served with chicken, shallots, and pickled cabbage. It was incredible—unlike anything I’ve ever had before. We also enjoyed the Tom Kha, a coconut lemongrass soup with fresh lime juice, mushrooms, green onions, and shrimp. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautifully modern and inviting. However, what truly stood out was the service. The staff's warm and attentive approach made us feel like valued guests. If you're a fan of authentic Thai cuisine, Thai PA Kitchen is a must-visit. I can't recommend this place enough!
