If you have children or know anyone on the spectrum you might want to skip this place. UPDATE: 1 & 2 1st time back in over a month. Decided to come back and give it another shot. Not even 5 mins after sitting at the bar the same lead bartender (Alexia) approached me aggressively about my recent review left on here. So not only was I being ‘intimidated’ by her childish attitude I also learned why I never got a call back. According to her, It was due to me being autistic. Apparently my autism makes me “lack personality” as she put it. Along with not mentioning anything about not properly compensating me for my time. The other bartender on shift apologized profusely to me for her unprofessional demeanor and reiterated her approaching me like that and saying those things to me was uncalled for. If you have children or know anyone on the spectrum you might want to skip this place since people like myself are clearly not welcomed here. I hope she enjoys the well deserved updated review. 0 Class and 0 Professionalism. I hope the owners review this and implement a mandatory DEI class for the staff. Discrimination against someone for their race, sex, identity, disability’s etc is grounds for a lawsuit.
Update: 2 they blocked me on their Facebook review even though their worker is ON CAMERA approaching me unprovoked.
Started as a customer who would spend between $400-$800 a month alone with food and beverage from there. Food was good til recent menu change.Drinks were pricey but food was worth it. Owner constantly cried about “no reliable staff” in front of clientele. As someone who has 5+ years in service experience I applied and did a trial run. Told them I was still interested in the gig after doing the 2 1/2 hour trial run. Showed up 15 mins before scheduled ‘shift’ and stayed 15 mins after the anticipated trial. Never heard back from them after that even though I followed up on the next day with their trusted lead bartender, and wasn’t properly compensated for my time.(Waitress on call just gave me her cash tips which was only $11 for the 2 1/2 hours, way below the state minimum wage). It was more awkward afterwards even though I still gave business regardless which was odd because I never personally addressed them about ‘ghosting me’. I now see why they can’t keep reliable staff and clientele with the constant odd changes they make. From the developer side they really need to fix their website. She said it is beef but came with ham inside ( my spouse has never eaten ham before so he didn’t understand but he said something is wrong with it) then I asked her again when she checked she said “ I am so sorry she made a mistake” WHHAATTT ? then she left without any explain . I was so pissed off and left out the store to get calm down myself. Behind me they said to my spouse we will give you the right order pls wait . Moreover, I ordered hamburger with well done cook but it wasn’t it was medium cook (I didn’t say anything for this) . Not finished yet; I asked for receipts and they charged me over what I expected and I paid $75 then I realized what I paid for it ? I asked her can I have details for my receipt . Than we saw dozens Wings $19 which was we didn’t order it . They void it and gave me right receipt. Not finished yet, when they order the right steak which is to go box , when we got how we saw it wasn’t cooked well and almost not cook . People can make a mistake I can understand but can’t make mistake three times . Read moreUPDATE: went back after a month to just get a couple of drinks since we like the bartender Eric. He is amazing. Shortly after sitting down their trashy waitress Alexia comes up and harasses my fiancee and I over our reviews. She made disgusting comments about her autism and we will be looking into taking legal action against Highland since they apparently feel it's okay to be ableist against potential employees and their staff is proud of it enough that they feel this is something to announce in front of other customers as well.
We used to love coming here. We would come nearly every Friday for months for wing dings, breaded mushrooms, and some drinks...sometimes more than once a week. They got rid of the wing dings and more items so I won't be coming back again until those are back and will be telling everyone I know to avoid the place.
The owners wonder why people aren't coming in and take away stuff regulars love among many other strange decisions.
PS: As a frontend developer, your website needs serious work and that company you went with doesn't seem to know basic UX/UI...
