My fiance and I are so pleased to have found Finch Jewelers! I have been very disappointed with chain jewelry stores, so I did an internet search for an independent custom design jeweler and found a lot of great reviews on them. We decided to give them a try despite being an hour drive away, and we couldn't be happier with their service, as they are a family run business and feel they treat every customer with special care. I was in search for a GIA certified diamond for my engagement ring, but still reasonably priced to that of some well known online diamond suppliers, such as blue nile. I was also in need of re-sizing and altering the shape of my wedding band, as it was gifted to me from a family member. Ron Finch was able to find a diamond to my exact specifications and was competitively priced to that of blue nile! And I couldn't be happier with it! He set it beautifully in my existing setting and was able to re-size/re-shape my wedding band to match perfectly with my engagement ring. Ron did all of this custom work and re-dipped and cleaned both of my rings, and did not charge me for labor, but only for the diamond itself. I am so pleased, that I am also going to have Ron create a white gold custom made antique looking band to go with my set, as Ron specializes in and enjoys doing scroll-work, and I trust that he will create a beautiful, one of a kind ring for me. His daughter Jessica, was also a pleasure to work with, she even did a free appraisal of my rings, for insurance purposes. They also provide free inspections and cleanings for my rings, and have offered to let me borrow some jewelry for my wedding day. I have definitely found my jeweler for life, and I look forward to working on additional projects with them in the future, such as a future upgrade to my engagement ring! ;o) Thank you so much Ron and Jessica Finch, and the entire staff at Finch Jewelers, John and I are so very happy to have found...

This review is a long time coming, and I am glad to write it. My fiancé and I started looking at engagement rings and just couldn’t find the right one. She liked rings that were very particular. As a guy who knows nothing about jewelry and thought that engagement rings were only like the ones in the movies, I was learning a lot. But mostly, that what she was looking for, would need to be made specially for her. I had already gone to a couple of stores in person, and no one was willing to be creative. Everyone said that the ring that she wanted would be too complicated, and shrugged me off— not even providing me other options.

Cue in Finch Jewelers.

My fiancé happened to walk into Finch while in her hometown, and slipped their business card in my wallet. She didn’t know much about the business, and neither did I, but thought, it might be a good place for me to check out. I don’t live in Pennsylvania, I am overseas, so all of my interactions with Finch were through Jessica, by email. I showed her what my fiancé was looking for, and she was not only up to the task, but excited about it! She’s a true creative and master of her craft and it shows!

Jessica was extremely patient, thorough, and informative throughout the entire process. She answered all my questions, any concerns I had and eased my mind. She made several CAD drawings of different styles to pick from, and after a few months process, I picked the one.

When I popped the question, my fiancé was flabbergasted, completely in shock at how beautiful the ring is (she said yes 🥹).

Several years ago I discovered these wonderful, honest folks when I was looking for an appraisal on old pocket watches and other pieces of jewelry left to me by my grandparents. My grandfather was a jeweler who passed away decades ago. On that first visit we didn't plan it, but having grown up around a watchmaker's bench and listening to Ron's ideas, I sensed that I found unique people. Family oriented people with high integrity. Ron used some misc gold pieces I had to rebuild a 100 year old ring that was made by my great-great Uncle. I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was and now I can wear a 'new' ring that was passed down to my Grandfather and to me. I'm complimented on it regularly. Although we live on Long Island and I work 2 blocks from Manhattan's diamond district, my family and I will not consider going anywhere else other than to Ron and Jessica. Since buying or repairing a piece of jewelry is not something we can afford to do often, it is well worth the 4 hour drive each way to know that we are in the hands of honest people. Jessica stood by a repair on my daughter's bracelet for over a year! If a setting is loose on an engagement ring, or you are concerned about a small stone being 'swapped' out for lesser quality at a jeweler you don't know, then Finch is the place to go! As I said, I could go to dozens of stores within 2 blocks from where I work and I won't even trust one of them to give me a fair price on a replacement clasp for a gold neck chain. For something like that I just call Finch and do it through the mail. I hope for the day when my daughter gets her engagement and wedding rings from Finch. They are the best there...
