I understand and support fully the need to have rules and regulations in place because of COVID-19 but Chick-fil-A's seemed completely arbitrary as they were unclearly marked. I don't own a car and have to rely on public transportation. I had finished making purchases at a nearby mall and decided a Chick-fil-A would be delicious. I crossed a busy intersection carrying bags and was greeted by outside staff. I say signs saying the dining area was closed - understandable and certainly not unique. I made sure my mask was in place and entered. I go inside to see several customers milling around waiting. After standing there for 10 minutes while staff was yelling out names of orders, one crew member asked me what was the name of my order. When I told her that I needed to place my order she informed me that I had to place my order through their app. Since I have little space on my phone for another app, I told her that I didn't really wish to download it. She replied that was the only way I could place an order. At the same time a manager was at a register taking an employee's food order. Again I understand the need for staff to eat during their shifts but how is taking one order safe and the other not? But my major complaints is why there were no signs explaining this to customers entering the restaurant. Why did outside staff not inform me that I would have to order through a app when they saw me clearly walking a great distance? If the purpose of this is to minimize time for people to come in contact with staff then why we're customers allowed to mill around inside for periods lasting more than a couple of minutes? I work in a customer service essential position were I wait on numerous customers and a sheet of plexiglass protects me as well as a mask from prolonged exposure. Additionally the time I stood there waiting greatly exceeded anytime I have ever waited for an order at Chick-fil-A. Lastly as I was leaving neither staff or nearby manager expressed any sympathy to me - I guess the location is so busy that they don't need me as a customer. I hope the staff here remains safe through this pandemic but clearly this location was not taught the friendly thoughtful customer service that is so abundant at...
Read moreDined in at 8:48 Saturday 9 August 2025. Went up to counter to purchase an ice cream at 9:10. I was unaware the counter was closed. Mal engage me nicely. I said I'd like an ice cream for my wife and a brownie for me. He stated the counter service was closed and I'd have to go outside to the drive through to order the ice cream there. When the other young man who was not Mal, stated simply sorry it is policy, thats it. I went outside...two lanes of twenty cars. I tried to go back in the door was locked my wife and food were still in there. Long story short.
One of the managers came over to me while is was providing a suggestion to a young lady. The suggestion relay to the main manager was to possibly adjust the policy for folks who are already in there who bought dine in. They should still be able to be served. I said how about keeping one register open there were still 7-10 employees that could provide the ice cream and take my money.
Whil.i was speaking to the young lady, the young manager came over and was disrespectful. She told me twice to calm down and not to speak with the employees. I stated, you are mis perceiving. I was not upset and that I may be a little louder than most due to being almost deaf in my right ear. So I speak louder than most. The young manager mishandled it. She never asked me anything. She likely heard me when I was at the counter. When the other young man who was not Mal, stated simply sorry it is policy. I spoke.with him very brefly before going outside. She said, the answer is no and thats it. Don't speak to the employees about this matter
Please think about the people who have already paid and are in side after 0900. How hard will it be to leave one register open for deserts or one more item versus making customers leave, get in a 20 car line for an item or two, it is not a friendly business plan/policy. Please review training with the young managers who do not have experience on how to analyze situations and handling customers. For the most part not to be rude, and to...

Food, service, and atmosphere - I graded all at 4 stars or higher. “So then why the 3 star overall review Carlos?!?!?” Well… the location is just downright awful.
Making it the most immediate location turning into Belmont from literally right off route 283/30, traffic is always going to play a factor just getting in. Putting only 1 major (unless you drive ALL THE WAY BACK BEHIND TARGET!!!) to access the entrance or exit of Chick-Fil-A and sitting them right across a: Starbucks, Jersey Mikes, and CoreLife - add that to the equation of clustering traffic. Note: I also hate that they have a three lane entering: right lane for turning into Starbucks and other restaurants building, left lane for Chick-Fil-A DRIVE-THRU, and a middle (people who have a tough time reading signs this is for you) for parking at Chick-Fil-A - NOT THE OTHER DRIVE THRU LINE! ** my apologies on losing my cool.
My last piece that is negative is when they made the decision to put employees outside to take your order in the drive thru to help move the line faster. That’s not my issue, it’s that you can’t read the menu due to the employee walking down the line to take your order quicker. They do have menus on paper that they can show you but you have to request it. ** suggestion: Put the menu on an overhead screen (like a TV) that car’s drive under that way everyone can see the menu.
Outside of that, those are the downsides but they still won’t stop me from getting that Spicy...
