Hobby Lobby — Local services in Manitowoc

If you're in the market for Extremely Over priced poorly made import furniture, or ridiculously expensive arts and crafts supplies, this is the store for you! If you think you might need some help from friendly knowledgeable staff, don't waste your time here.. not sure if they employ more than 3 or 4 people, as you will be searching for days to find anyone who is not too busy doing anything other than being available for a little customer service! Rudeness is most definitely a requirement for a position on their team, and I am confident they offer a self esteem lowering course, (if necessary, not sure about cost), for new hires that seem to have any trace of personality and/or enthusiasm for interactions with other people! They offer 8 check out lanes for your convenience, however there is never more than 1 or 2 open to actual paying customers. Sometimes a decoy cashier is placed in one, but solely for the purpose of confusing and frustrating customers! These people are very busy stocking shelves and rearranging items to be pestered by someone with petty issues such as, reaching items on high shelves, measuring and cutting fabric, locating items advertised for sale, and that extremely irritating behavior that sometimes occurs when customers want to go through the exchange of currency for products!! UGH! Can't you just go to Walmart?? The limited staff at Hobby lobby have no time or patience for your shopping...

I went there trying to find packaging tape. Had to ask repeatedly for help because the four ladies in back had something more important to talk about amongst each other. Then I go to the register with my $11.50 roll of 3m packaging tape and proceed to wait for 25 mins to be rung up while all the rest of the staff stood around doing nothing. Thought I would go there for convenience but I could've got to Walmart and back in the same time and probably saved 5 bucks. I should've invoiced them for a half hour of labor. Very comical this place claims to be a Christian institution but they are doing the work of the devil with their horrible prices and...

This Hobby lobby is always so clean and organized. It is large and stocked with a large variety of options. I love shopping here. The staff however is not very friendly or helpful to me when i walk in. Don't know if it's my nationality or my looks that keep them from asking me if i need help or even smiling. I will continue to go to this location due to its cleanliness but it needs some customer service training. God forbid a secret shopper walk in.
