First of all, I can't imagine that most of these reviews can be honest ones. Let me start by saying that I really enjoy Burlington for their prices & really good selection. But... The staff is a joke! Mainly the ladies that work @ customer service desk around closing & the evening manager. I shop here often & a cpl days ago, I got home & noticed that they've left the security lock thing on my shoes I just bought. Not really worried about it, I figured I'd return to the store soon as I returned from my business trip in a few days. When I took them back to the store, so they can remove the security tag. I realised I didn't have my receipt on me & probably no longer had it. I didn't think it'd be such a big deal. They made me feel like I was a thief who had stolen these $10 clearance shoes & actually brought them back to the store to kindly ask them to now remove the security tag. I've never been so humiliated in my life & will never shop at Manteca Burlington ever again. This was their mistake, not mine. Yet the manager & girl working service desk last night made me feel as if I did something wrong. Please, please train your checkers to dbl check to make sure they've removed the security tags. I would have much rather gotten a loud siren on way out the day i bought them. That way I wouldn't have had to take them back to remove it & go through this humiliation. Shame on you...
Read moreWe recently moved to Manteca, its been about 3 wks, so we're still in the unpacking stage. I had to make a Walmart run. After Walmart I decided to pop into Burlington maybe find a mattress pad and a couple of odds and ends.
I grabbed a cart and started taking my time up and down the aisles. The store was pretty empty, only a handful of people and I could tell pretty quickly that it was doubtful I'd find anything, but hey, I like to shop.
By the 3rd aisle or so I realized I was being watched! At that point i had a $5.00 toy for my dog in my basket. I ignored my being watched and after a couple more aisles I headed into the bedding section when a plain clothes security woman actually came down the asile and asked if I was finding everything OK while thoroughly and obviously checking me out. I responded and continued down the aisle, and then down another as I fumed.
Saw a bag of yogurt pretzels, threw them in my cart and proceeded to checkout. I could not wait to get out of that poorly stocked, dark and depressing looking store.
And I will not ever go back. I should not have spent the $10 bucks that I did...
Read moreThis store I believe was originally a coat store, at least there were a number of coats available to buy. But these days they are not anymore, just a regular clothes and toy store. It’s an ok store for bargains.
However, and you may not believe this but after a shopper fully paid for their shopping and about to leave the store, the store prevented the shopper from pushing their shopping cart outside of the store exit doors.
It’s incredible how they expect you to haul your load into your car. They have automatic locks on all shopping carts so the tires will auto lock preventing you from pushing your shopping cart containing your paid for items outside of their store doors.
This is ridiculous, regardless of their reason. Their excuse was that a few of their shopping carts got lost or stolen so they don’t want their customers to push their shopping carts outside their store exit doors. They seem to have no regard for its customers and no interest in customer experience. They better fix this mess,...
