We purchased a couch from living spaces and has been a nightmare ever since. First we had to wait for the delivery which is normal but then they told us we had to wait longer cuz the motors in the chairs did not work and they decide to tell us that the morning of delivery. We got the couch and had many issues with it that even the installer said was issues so we decided to use the great warranty they say they have that we pay extra for and that is the biggest nightmare ever. We get emails saying they're ready to deliver a replacement part when we go to schedule a delivery they say there is no delivery. This is unacceptable I will never buy a couch from them again and more than likely this one will go back.
So buyer beware I would not buy from them and if you do get the warranty so you can sue them.
Update 4-7-23
So after doing the runaround with emails and the extra insurance that we bought for the brand new couch that we've owned for a month we were told to go into the store and pick out a replacement cuz they could not get the parts to swap out. Well I didn't think that was going to be a big issue. The salesperson was great we picked out what we're going to replace it with but when we went to go finalize it a person named Kyle his tag said operation specialist was not customer service friendly. He insisted that we do not get a credit or a discount for all the hassle we've been through and that we had to pay full price for the new couch at the time the new couch was only 400 bucks more by the time we went to go check out after I walked away cuz I was getting upset and had my wife deal with them because he could not see the difference between a credit for bad service at the delivery issues and not giving a credit for the bad service at the end with replacing parts of the couch. When we went to go finalize everything All of a sudden now there's a glitch and it's 700 and some dollars more. So I did say one cuss word about that fact of being more money now. Kyle got offended and said he won't be talked to that way and refuse service after that. We have walked out and I will figure out a way where I don't have to pay this place any money due to the terrible service you get there. They can have their broken couch back. I am a patient person but only so far when someone is that disrespectful I am a service vet and I don't put up with that kind of stuff so like I said buyer beware get the insurance if you do buy from this place because you're probably going to need it and I wouldn't deal with the people at the store.
Update 4-7-23 at 2:45 pm
So after talking to corporate when I got home I talked to a manager no I didn't get the name she did email me all of the contracts for the new couch and the old couch also told me they're going to give us a $200 credit and a $200 store credit after his delivered well that was a lie there is no credit on the sales receipt I did not notice that until after I paid a balance for the new couch and after calling them back I was told they would not give a credit on the couch for all the problems we have dealt with and my file is long and they can read them all I was told by the service person at corporate not the manager that they would normally give a credit off the merchandise but obviously that was incorrect also. From my experience I will tell you do not buy from this company do not buy from this company you will get the runaround if you have issues it will take you a lot of your time to deal with warranties and whatnot I wish I could have just returned this couch I didn't think it was going to be this big of a deal or I would have returned it and wash my hands of this company. I repeat do not buy from them they do not have customer service whatsoever and can care less after they...
Read moreI'm rating the experience I had with the actual customer service team (not the actual Manteca store) a 1 because 0 wasn't an option. My husband and I have boughten over $5K in furniture from Living Spaces and have NEVER had an issue. We purchased a $400 frame from Living Spaces over Father's Day weekend and initially were told that the item would be delivered that coming Friday. When Friday came around we didn't receive the item so I called customer service to check the status. It took 3 calls before I could get someone to talk to me because the agents kept hanging up on me. I spoke to Emilia (supervisor) and she she stated that the item would take 13 business days to be delivered and that I would be receiving a tracking number once shipped. That is not exactly what happened even though Emilia stated multiple times I'd receive a tracking number. My husband and I went out of town and it got delivered while we were out of town and I NEVER received a tracking number. In fact, we didn't receive an actual email stating it was delivered until 24 hours after. Before leaving out of town we stopped at Living Spaces in Manteca and spoke to the manager there (Estella) and told her the whole situation of us not receiving our frame on time as promised and how customer service agents are so unprofessional. She apologized and stated there's nothing they at Living Spaces could do about it as it was out of there hands. We understood and left and went about our way on a mini vacation. While out of town, the item was stolen off our porch. Since we NEVER received a tracking number, we had no idea it was gonna be delivered sooner than later as Emilia stated. Had we gotten a tracking number, I would of had my daughter retrieve the package and I would not be writing this review. My husband and I disputed the charge twice with the credit card company and unfortunately, Living Spaces failed to credit us even though we didn't actually get the item. They stated it's our problem if it got stolen and they did their job and delivered it. We are out $400 bucks no frame and we'll NEVER shop at Living Spaces ever again. They have lost us as well as my family's business over $400 dollars. Please note: I also was able to provide a voice recording where Emilia stated her team failed to provide tracking information and that still wasn't good enough. If the owner wants to hear it, I'd be more than happy to furnish that...

We want to share our experience with Living Spaces Manteca in hopes of protecting other local families from unnecessary stress and financial loss.
We purchased a power reclining sofa and sectional that had mechanical issues on the first day of delivery. Additionally, the store shorted us one piece due to a warehouse error.
When we contacted the Manteca location, they asked us to document the issues with pictures and videos, which we did. While they offered an exchange, we were uncomfortable with so many problems right from the start. Instead, we requested a return—not wanting to risk being stuck with $4,000+ in defective furniture.
Here’s where it got concerning: • The store informed us that returning the items would result in a 10% restocking fee, even for defective products. • When we questioned why, they claimed it was due to “buyer’s remorse.” • Despite clear defects, they refused to make an exception or offer any support.
Thankfully, the Living Spaces corporate office was much more reasonable. • Corporate guest services reviewed our videos, acknowledged the issues, and fully refunded us, including the 10% restocking fee and delivery fee. • The Manteca store was no help at all and made the process unnecessarily difficult.
While Living Spaces looks like a great showroom with plenty of salespeople eager to sell, they offer zero support when it comes to quality issues.
🚨 Buyer Beware: If you shop at the Manteca location, be aware of their policies—especially if you encounter defective items.
Had they handled the situation fairly, we might have considered non-mechanical furniture options. However, due to their poor customer service, we will never shop there again.
We hope this helps protect others from going through the same hassle. Know the policies...
