The food I’ve eaten at this place has always been good. I’ve actually gone there three times in the last month. My husband and I went for dining on our first visit 8/1 and had an incident where they left are AHI tuna salad under the heat lamp and we sat there and watched it for 20 minutes and they finally brought it out with our pizza. We complained & the manager did make it right. He credit our bill for the salad and still brought it to our table a new fresh one.
Then two weeks later on 8/16 my girlfriend and I went for lunch and we had a pizza and a salad and we had an ok experience it was a little slow on service that day. It was a Tuesday at like three in the afternoon, the girl comes to our table and asked to take our glasses instead of asking us if we wanted a refill. We felt like they wanted us to leave so we did. Ridiculous. Then last night 8/19 We ordered a pizza. we use their take-out menu that had a phone number on the front of it pre-printed. We called the number it said thanks for calling PETES we placed our order for an extra large pizza will be ready in 20 minutes. We drove to pick it up we got to the restaurant here in Manteca and they did not have the pizza ready. Why,? Because it was the wrong PETES. They actually give out menus with the wrong phone number. Who does that? That’s just ridiculous this restaurant has great food but the poor management and extremely poor service….sad, sad sad.
I give the food 4 1/2 stars, but I give the service and management at 2. So overall they’re getting at 3. I told the girl that I use the menu that I picked up at a restaurant earlier in the week and she said “oh those menus aren’t supposed to be given out, how did you get that“.? I said “I got it at the front counter when I left the other day the girl gave it to me. “. Read moreWe were sitting out because we had bought our Pom the outside are had trash everywhere there was a water fall I thought it was a jacuzzi or something was living area because bubbles was coming from it I had seen there was speakers no music was playing to Silence the noise from the bar are which was loud…my daughter literally got up and closed the door…I had to pick up the trash around our table and put on another table…the Feng shui of the tables was not a pleasing….plates everywhere… the floors were filthy …no music… we already there we could have left… we didn’t leave due us having our Pom…we looked up if places to eat but no dogs allowed…the floors… so we started ordering with drink i had ordered a Stella… took one sip…it tasted sour I already knew they don’t clean their tap… I had told waitress it tasted sour…we had ordered the combo platter it was good…we had to eat out food with our fingers u had asked for utensils from another girl that was trying to some what clean out side….because our waitress barely came out to ask if we needed anything like condiments or utensils…basic stuff…it was awkward the whole experience… my kids didn’t want to come here at all but i said let’s try…the food was good but it was Applebees standard my daughter said… the experience was awful i told the kids it always give us something to remember and laughed about.:.it was our first and last…the one ⭐️I don’t mind giving the food wasn’t bad….luckily i didn’t take pictures of where we sat at…i hope they clean out and clean their tap…cuz the beer was sour Stella...
Read moreBusinesses should not make customers wait to give them money... I told the bartender I was ready for the bill, but was made to wait more than 13 minutes to pay. Furthermore, I had to get up from the bar, walk to the other side towards the kitchen, wave my credit card and bill in the air to get the bartender's attention (on the other side of low wall/room divider). The bartender then looked me in the eye and took another order before bringing me my bill. It is unusual for me not to tip, but I do not recall ever having to flag down anyone in such a manner, in order to pay my restaurant bill. The bartender needs more/different support staff. They (bartender) are loosing money.
The bar section nearest the patio door was at about 85% capacity. The bartender seemed to be the only person taking orders and casing customers out, although 2-3 individuals did bring out food. About a minute after I sat down, placed my drink order, reviewed the menu, received my drink and attempted to order the Seared Ahi Tuna, the bartender cut me off by saying they were out of Ahi and Lasagna.
If only I had known these facts before I read the menu and decided what I wanted to eat...
So I ordered Thai Style Shrimp. And there was nothing "light" or "delightful" about it. There was way too much batter. The Arnold Palmer was good though.
FYI: My movie (with pre-ordered snacks) was starting soon. My alarm went off seven minutes after I told the bartender I was ready...
