The park itself is small with little equipment, no shade, no bathrooms. It is clean and does have a sprinkler pad. The reason I had such an awful experience is because there is a park security grandpa who bullied my 3rd and 4th grade boys. When I asked him why he told my boys they couldn’t play there he said that it was for little kids. He singled my boys out snapped at them and kicked them out. I don’t know why you would hire someone so disrespectful and who obviously doesn’t like children, to work security at a park! Read moreManteno has outdone itself with this fantastic park and the entire square! The park is lovely with so many kid activities. The lit up water area had so many children and some adults splashing around in the 90 degree heat. There's also a huge bouncy platform and a kid's ziplining area. The bird houses displayed by Manteno High School's art students were wonderful! Even if you don't have any kids in tow, come out to 2nd Street for some Sammy's Pizza then walk across the street to PJ'S for the best ice cream ever, and then take your dessert to the park, sit, relax...
Read moreIf I could, I would give this park 0 stars. My wife and I took our 8 and 10 year old girls here to play and security came out and kicked my 10 year old out of the park for being "too tall". She's exactly at 54" which the sign says is the limit, regardless she's a child. Not to mention we were the only people there at the time. We will never go back and I would never recommend this place to anybody unless you want to be bothered by security all because your children are trying to play...
