Live around the corner from Sammy's and saw it growing under the construction. Always wanted to use it but due to the virus of course needed to wait. I have an old car and usually during the spring and summer get it washed 2 or 3 times a month, but of curse has been 4 months this time around. Anyway it needed it and just two days ago of course got dive bombed by geese, so decided to give Sammy's a try. I went for the 18.00 wash. Location of course is great I live right around the corner, the staff was very nice, hence the two stars, but it stopped there. When you pull in they use a self-pay kiosk which is nice but in the morning if you ever drive rt 38 the sun glare made it almost impossible to see the screen, I had to move and weave my head to catch a glimpse to see the screen, they might want to lean them down to help with the glare, next it does talk to you guiding you through your selections but it speaks so low was very hard to hear. A crew member did come up to see if I needed help which was nice. Did get through that and hit Yes for Receipt but no receipt came out and the bar rose to let you in. I pulled up and another crew member guides you in which is cool. You then place it in neutral and it pulls you through. I a lot of soap and a brush later you come to the end so was fast, but could already see on back window not all the goose gifts came off. Pulled around to the vacuums and air shooters (I did not use the air shooters) There are long hosed vacuums on each side of your car and they offer clean towels to wipe down your car.. Which was nice, I could see though as I said not all the goose gifts came off and where it did remove them (two days old) it left an outline stain. So I used the towel to wipe it away, but the dryer works so well on your car there was not any real moisture for the towel you would need to get rid of these stains (maybe a sprayer or something to use), so used some water left on the bumper and they came off. The drivers side vacuum was fantastic, that thing had some real power to it and cleaned the inside drivers side fantastic and trunk. The one on the passenger side though was really weak and was barley working at all. Over all the crew was nice, the place was clean, but truth be told had better washes for the price. I may use again but only the 10 dollar wash for a quick in and out, since it is right around the corner, but if you need a little more better clean then and quickie you may be better off...

I discovered Sammy’s Express Car Wash in Maple Shade one day last winter, as I was driving by. Soon afterwards I got a monthly membership there, despite the fact that there are a number of car washes more conveniently located to my house.
The car wash itself is new, modern, clean and bright. One of the things I like is that the car is propelled along a conveyer belt (the car’s tires remain stationary), so there’s no risk of damage to the rims from the metal rails typically used in car washes. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, though I rarely have a need to engage with them. They’re all dressed in clean uniforms.
There are three lanes to process the transactions, which ultimately merge into one. After my first visit, I purchased a monthly membership. I could go every day, if I wanted. The break even on the membership is approximately two visits per month. Since I have the membership, the camera recognizes my license plate and automatically opens the gate at any of the three lanes (one is a VIP lane for memberships, but this isn’t always the shortest line). There are multiple membership options and there’s no contract required. I got a new car after I joined. Transferring the membership was easy.
The car wash is the kind where you remain in your own vehicle. Once through the car wash, which takes less than five minutes, there are free vacuums, air hoses and microfiber cloths. The vacuums are amazing! I actually look forward to going to the car wash. It is very quick and efficient. In under 15 minutes, I have a clean car inside and out. The vacuums have hoses on each side of the car, which makes it a quick and easy process. The microfiber cloths are an extra bonus.
Stating the obvious, weekends are often busy, so I typically go during the week. It’s hard to find anything to complain about. If I had one criticism, the bins with the microfiber cloths are often empty. However, I’ve always managed to find one or two. It just means that I might have to check multiple bins. I also wish there was one a little closer to my house, but it is worth the...
Read moreStopped by today January 20th 2024 to get some of the salt and slush knocked off of my Jeep. The staff were friendly and the automated touch screen selection process was easy. The facility is very new and looks to be in good condition.
The only reason I am giving this a three-star review is because the car wash did not do a very good job of cleaning my vehicle. It could not even remove the slush that was sitting on my running boards and missed lots of areas.
Part of this might have to do with my type of vehicle, so this review is probably more directed to people who own boxy SUVs like Jeep wranglers and such, you may get some hit or miss results with this car wash.
I think if you have an egg-shaped vehicle like every car made these days, it'll probably do a pretty decent job, but I have gotten a much better results from other drive-thru car washes in the area.
Especially ones where when you get out they have a couple of guys who run around with towels and wipe off all the nooks and crannies and get areas that the machine missed.
With Sammy's, it looks like once you're done you just roll out and there are no attendants to help with that. 20 bucks isn't the most expensive but it wasn't exactly a budget car wash either. So for my vehicle I probably will not be returning to this location. But again, if you have an egg shaped car then it'll probably do a decent job.
Thanks for the reply Sammy's, yeah I wasn't trying to give you guys a bad review per se but just let people know that if they have a vehicle like mine, it may not do the best job in there.
And for reference, I removed all of the exterior items from my vehicle prior going to the car wash because I knew they would be problematic if I left them on. The running boards are completely stock and I was surprised that there was no pressure washer or anything to blast...
