When you elect to get a semi-permanent procedure done on your face, you want it to be perfect. And Niki is a true perfectionist!
I first got my eyebrows microbladed by Niki 2 years ago. I had no idea what to expect, and she was patient with me as I showed her photos of microbladed brows that I liked. We looked at the photos together and discussed shape, arch, and color. I felt at ease and soon a felt a flurry of ticklish activity on my face, as Niki designed my new brows.
The procedure itself is mostly comfortable – at times (near the beginning of my brow, for instance) I felt practically nothing. However, as she approached the tail end of my brow I did find it to be a 3-5 on my personal pain scale. However, Niki works quickly and within a couple of minutes, the worst of the pain is over. The numbing cream certainly takes the edge off, and you'll be most comfortable if you abstain from alcohol and aspirin for several days prior to your appt. And take it from me: do NOT schedule your appt during "that time" of the month, as pain is heightened.
Your initial visit includes a touch-up several weeks later, where you discover what the final brows will really look like. Use this appointment to point out any area that you feel needs to be more pronounced! I love that Niki sends you home with a small vial of Hustle Butter, a gentle but super-moisturizing balm which I swear has kept my healing process to a minimum. I'm only red for one day, and have experienced no scabbing!
I recently went in for a touch-up 2 years later though I truly could have waited 6-12 more months. The pigment was barely fading and only in a few spots, and this is following a summer of swimming in the salty sea daily for 3 months. Despite what you may hear from ladies who swear by monthly tinting, microblading lasts! And how convenient that you get it done and won't have to mess with your brows for 2 years. Occasionally, when I want to define them a bit more for a night out I use my Anastasia brow pencil (but I promise it's not necessary). I get so many compliments on my brows and that's huge coming from a 90s skinny brow victim! Niki stands by her work and if you have any issues, she will...
Read morePlease, if you are looking to get your Microblading done, do not go to them. Nicki was nice but nice don't mean a professional at what she does. She stated that she has a background in tattooing and she has done microblading before. I was very, very dissapointed in her work, it was more like a novice. She didn't even know how to arch eyebrows. To do this you have to have mastered it. She definitely does not have the skill to do it. When asked can I see in the middle of the process I was refused. Then when called her and stated that the tails were completely wrong, she stated tails are suppose to be down. I gave her a picture of what I wanted and it looked nothing, absolutely nothing like it. Its does not look like hairs at all, it looks like a tattoo on my brows. A black line, I could have practiced at home if I would have known. One brow is totally uneven and my tails are down like a sad clown. I have to spend more money to get them corrected and go to Kansas City, MO to get them done right. So if you are reading this, please trust me I'm very picky when it comes to my face and would not come on here and lie. I'm on here so you don;t make the same expensive mistake. Please do your due diligence, and do your research and find a reputable person to do your microblading. Regardless if they have a background in whatever...........! ...
Read moreWould highly recommend not going here! I paid her $1250 for my tattoo license. She literally did not help me at all. Gave me a sheet signed with her initials and told me to keep track of my hours and just make them up. Didn’t tell me the steps to make. I never filled paper work in time because she didn’t explain anything. She never got back with me. Never gave me money back. Also you should be trained in the same place to get certified. Not just sent with a sheet signed off with the logs already. This is very illegal. I’m out $1250 and never got to take the steps I needed to get certified. Once she took the money she didn’t reach out one time. Shady as heck. I’ll be reporting to health department next since I can’t get a reply back from her or my money. This has been over a year also! How rude can someone be at a time like this taking advantage of people. You should be ashamed to call yourself a teacher just taking...
