Island Tire — Local services in Marathon

I'm posting for my father-in-law Jerry Kerr: Wish we could give six stars to Island Tire of Marathon, FL! Our family of 9 rented a house in Marathon for Christmas. My grandson discovered a screw in one of the tires of the car that he was driving over from Naples. The screw was lodged in sidewall which caused a slow, but steady leak. Upon his arrival to Marathon, we explored having the tire patched. Tire Kingdom and later Island Tire confirmed that due to safety reasons, the tire could not be patched. To compound the issue, neither company could source a matching tire before our departure date. We took the risk of ordering the tire on-line and having it shipped to Marathon. When speaking with Nicole of Island Tire she said "we're completely scheduled out for the holiday, but if you get the tire here, we'll find a way to get it on your car and balanced!". In our process several local people sung the praises of Island Tire. Ryan and Nicole at Island Tire saved our Holiday!! They were kind enough to work with us to get us on the road the day before we were scheduled to leave. I'm getting ready to leave town and I find out I have a flat tire. My truck sitting on its rim so I start calling around the area to get a replacement tire. No shop in town has a tire that fits my truck. Island Tire was the first people I called and one of the owners Nicole, did everything even gave me some numbers to recommend calling. The hospitality she displayed over the phone was so good I called her back just to see if I can even get a patch. She told me if I could get there soon she would help out because they were closing soon but she will stay open to help me. When I get there, the immediately started working on my truck and within 20 minutes had me good to go. After it was all said and done they had me taken care of so I could get back home. At one point I mentioned I was in the service, and she kept that in mind when she thanked me upon leaving and told me there was no charge! Absolutely the best experience and superb customer service from the first call to the payment for services. We were traveling from VT and noticed upon arrival that our tires on the toy hauler were in dire need of replacement before we went back home. A search online gave us the number for Island Tire. With a five star rating we called and the very next day they were installed. We had looked at another place while comparing prices and we saved a lot of money going here when clearly the competitor was looking to make good money on the sale of the same exact tires. They even suggested an outstanding restaurant which we tried and absolutely enjoyed. If you are traveling and need tires call these wonderful people.
