Legendary Jet Skis Marathon — Local services in Marathon

Austin is a great guide.  He knows his stuff and has been doing this for a couple years, and he is very personable.  He took me out for a solo tour. We didn't just go in a straight line, we explored some bays, and Austin kept the ride interesting.  We stopped at a sandbar in the Atlantic (about 4 feet deep) for a quick swim in the crystal clear water.  Austin let me do some freestyle (which he filmed; more on that later).

It was a little choppy in a few places, and I got some air at good speed (the skis cruise around 50 mph).  Fun, but not uncomfortable.  These are big skis (2023 models, 1500cc, which helps to keep the ride stable). Much of the ride was relatively calm.  Depending on the wind direction, one side of the key is likely to have larger waves.

Austin also took some good pics for me, which was an added bonus.  He used his phone, and he apparently has yet to drop it in the ocean (pretty impressive).

Jet skiing has been a highlight for me in the past, and this was no exception.  I highly recommend calling up Legendary and asking for a tour guided by Austin (or ask when he is working, and then book online, which I think they prefer).

The rates are pretty good (much better than at Isla Bella, for example), but remember that most of the fee goes to the business owner (which makes sense; buying new jet skis is not cheap).  The guides are working mostly for tips, so please show your appreciation if you have a great...

This was an absolutely amazing experience. If you’ve never been on a jet ski, and you want to try it, this is all you’ll need to acclimate. Read their materials, listen to the tour guides rules and tour plan, execute. What a blast, worth every penny.

I told myself I wouldn’t forget the tour guides name, made a point to converse about it in hopes that would concrete it to memory. No avail. Her name was something like Dentiny, last name Garcia. What a boss! She guided my group of six people, three adults, three children, for an hour tour. She really made us feel like we were part of the locals family. Very cool vibes. Would ride again with her in the future. Listen to her guidance, when she says it’s easier to control when it’s going faster, that’s one of the most important things. Get up to speed, the machine navigates more smoothly there. Also, there are no brakes. When you off let the throttle a little, the water will slow you immediately. DO NOT TRY TO USE REVERSE AS THE BRAKE, YOU WILL REGRET IT. Everyone falls off, get comfortable with the idea you’ll fall off and get right back on. Our adventure with Legendary Jet Ski Tours in Marathon, Florida, exceeded all expectations! Austin, our tour guide, was phenomenal. His expertise, enthusiasm, and commitment to our safety made the experience truly unforgettable.

We had the opportunity to explore the breathtaking beauty of the reef, where we were lucky enough to spot a majestic sea turtle. Additionally, visiting the sandbar was an absolute blast! What made the tour even more exceptional was that we never felt rushed. Austin's laid-back approach allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in each stop along the way.

Austin's extensive knowledge of the area was evident, and his passion for sharing it with us only added to the excitement. Not only did he take photos for us but he made a video of where we went and of us enjoying the waters. We left with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of Marathon, Florida.
