Village Liquors — Local services in Marblehead

First time here last time here.. rude owner... Watched TV while I stood a counter with his back to me as he answered couple basic question I had.... He has a $10 minimum.. I had $4 with of goods.. he stayed $10 min... I said ok no problem charge me the bank fee for using debit/credit which is usually . 50¢ he said no... I replied I really don't need $10 worth items I suggested raise the price of goods to a $1 to cover your cost he said NO all the time with his back to me and occasionally head turn back to speak.... I left items and will never return.... I'm ok with minimum it's biz also I have been in similar situations and never not once did the owner bat an eye of being ok with covering fee if I offered the . 50¢-1$...... He knows he is the only liquor store in town to make him be so rude and inconsiderate.... this is why he has a horrible rating...

Rude owner who can't even be cheerful on New Years Eve, despite being a customer for 15 + years. I honestly think he is schizophrenic.Acting the fool and fawning over SOME customers, while treating most with a depressed miserability at best. I mentioned the lack of cheer and questioned the mental stability of the owner to his equally unfriendly son today who looked at me like a dear in headlights, But NO '"sorry to see you had a bad experience" ..Nothing. Well you both should get out of a business that makes you this nasty,. When you can't be friendly selling booze for a living... It's time to get out. I'm out and will NEVER give that crab cake and his son a dime. I don't need to be influenced by their poor manners, or to support them financially. Your have lost another customer with...

I have lived in this town for a year( black female) in a predominantly white area. I only come to this store if I have to or I will go to Lynn on my way home. Every time I go in I’m followed and stared at. I got a big order today because I was having a gathering at my house and he refused to give me bags. When the man clearly had given bags to the customers before me. We live in a world full of microcosms already I don’t need your blatant racism and prejudice. You will no longer be getting my money nor should and person of color support...
