Islander Pool & Patio — Local services in Marco Island

I have been a customer of Islander Pool and Patio since I moved to Florida permanently, 6 years ago. Being from Eastern Iowa I had no idea how to care for my pool.

When I first moved into my new home I used Islander Pool for pool cleaning and maintenance. Jose would come to my home weekly to test the water, clean the pool and check and make sure all pool equipment was functioning properly. They even installed my pool heater.

A friend of mine suggested I learn to care for my own pool. It seemed awfully overwhelming especially being a woman but Jose assured me I could do it. He took some time to explain the basics to me. He assured me that the staff in the store would help and that he would come back if it didn’t work out. I decided to give it a try!!

Every single week I take a water sample into the store. Matt, Justin and/or Joey test my water sample, they tell me which chemicals I need and how much of each are needed, they give me simple instructions and tips based on changing conditions, and work with me to troubleshoot any issues I may be having (like when I suspected my pool had a leak). When necessary, they send someone to take a look, and if help is needed, schedule someone to come out to service equipment promptly (as was the case with the suspected leak). They couldn’t be more patient, helpful or professional!! This is just the way everyone at Islander Pool and Patio is!!

Lastly, a couple of years ago, I finally wandered into the Islander Patio Store at the opposite end of the plaza. There I met Tanya. She was fabulous too!! I purchased all of my lanai furniture from her. I was tired of furniture that could not withstand the SW Florida weather for more than a few seasons. Tanya was fabulous to work with!! I absolutely LOVE the quality and look of the furniture that I purchased and it is super comfortable too!! I could not be happier!! I wish I had just bought quality right from the get-go!! It makes a HUGE difference and looks fabulous!!! Totally worth it!!!

Above all, over the years I have learned that I truly love doing business with family-owned and family-run businesses on the island. They treat you like a neighbor and a friend. Just had our pool resurfaced with new waterline and inlay tile, and new coping tile. Eduardo and his crew from Islander Pool and Patio did a fantastic job! It was completed in 6 days (they said 2-weeks originally) and the job site and property were left completely clean. After the chemicals were added the pool is a crystal clear blue and looks absolutely amazing! The job was done remotely and Eduardo sent pictures and/or face-timed or called me daily. He always wanted to confirm and show that they were doing exactly what we asked. Eduardo was efficient, professional, personable and highly responsive. The price was lower than I originally anticipated, and not $1 was added on after we signed the contract.
