I went today to ask for a skincare regimen. My eczema spot on my eyelid (that I've have now for over a year), and "mask-ne" I'm already using the face wash and moisturizer I was told to use (she did tell me to use differin gel also). Then was recommended to put me on an antibiotic. Idk if it's forever or for a few weeks. I told her I didn't really want to start on a medication, that I thought that I could start with just skin care. And asked for a skincare routine, bc I've never had to have one before. She told me just skincare wouldn't work for the "mask-ne", only the antibiotic could help. Then said that I couldn't get pregnant on this medication (minocycline). I told her that I plan on taking out my Mirena in July. She said "I just have to tell you not to get pregnant for legal reasons". I feel like it was a waste of co-pay and time. I didn't feel like I was heard, definitely was not an open conversation, and I was just an irritation to the provider today. 2 stars because she at least called me in a cream for my eczema spot, as well as recommended to use...
Read moreI have been twice and have been misdiagnosed both times. The doctors have no idea what they are talking about and have the gall to tell me I'm wrong, all the while I was right. The first time they told me I had ringworm and fought me on this until they decided to biopsy, and I ended up having Granuloma Annulare. The second and more recent time I presented with red spots on my legs and thigh. I had said I believed it to be inflamed blood vessels caused by my Dupixent. They told me I was wrong and needed to quit googling symptoms and trusting Dr.google. She then proceeded to Google and show me pictures of herpes. She diagnosed me with herpes. Today I found out I was right and my Dupixent really is the cause, and it really is inflamed blood vessels. I hate calling doctors stupid but I don't know what else to call two...
Read moreNurse was very rude from the moment she called us back to the room. Apparently she was still upset over a phone conversation I had with the office manager a few weeks prior. That conversation only happened because I had called for two wks trying to get a prescription refilled and another prior authorization for it. Then they failed to send the appropriate medical records to show the need for the medication which then caused it to be denied. Now I have to appeal it because they didnt do their job instead retaliated so my son doesnt get the care he needs. The last authorization was approved quickly since they sent the required documents. Any parent would be upset if your child is broke out in hives head to toe and is miserable for WEEKS all because he cant get his...
