Absolutely the best experience I have had with a telecoms company so far. Tl;Dr: Switched from a company that rhymes with "Crapcast" and joined AT&T for internet.
Now for the longer part.
I went into the store to speak to someone personally about setting up internet and tv service with a company better than the one mentioned above. I was greeted with a little bit of a wait, but a friendly "We will help you as soon as we can." Once I got to the counter, I discussed an internet and DirecTV package and within an hour had the service ready to go with the installers coming in the next few days.
Well here is where the bad luck starts. After the AT&T technicians came out to install the internet modem, (which is an OK modem/router, but if you want the full speed you're paying for connect it to an aftermarket dual-band router) the DirecTV technicians came out. They told us that, due to the direction of my apartment, I could not get reception. That's ok, I can live without satellite tv. So I returned (the day this was posted) to the retailer to possibly get U-Verse TV instead. Well, after the store manager got off the phone to set up the service he informed me that U-Verse was not available for my apartment. Sigh However, my luck turned up after that. The manager, while on the phone, asked if they could credit the installation fee (since the packages I was trying to get waved installation fees) and they did!
So what I really have to say is, the folks who work here really do care about the customer and will try everything they...
Read moreI would give it a zero if I could. We moved into our home in MARCH of this year and have been trying to get internet service and since AT&T has created an illegal monopoly they are the only provider we can get out here. We have been calling and dealing with them for months. I have spoken with customer service, the workers that are in the neighborhood constantly and reps from this store.
They are saying we are unable to get internet in our home, when EVERY SINGLE HOUSE surrounding us in our subdivision has their fiber internet. I spoke with a man last week that was going to put in an order to see why they are saying we are unable to get it, and he was going to call me back on Friday, I am assuming with black Friday, it got too busy, which is fine. I called, and spoke with a new individual today, Josh, that claims he is now the manager of the store, and that he took over it as of Friday. He was unwilling to put in this order, or to work to find any resolution, he couldn't answer any questions and had no clue what he was saying. He must be new to the company, and I am doubting he is a manager, as he doesn't have the competency to be one, and if he is AT&T might want to double check this.
These people need to learn and understand what...
Read moreDon’t buy your phones here. This is a third party AT&T and you will have issues if you need to do anything with your phones. Some guy says he’s the manager and that HR is the next above him but he can’t share that info. I called they said they’d call me back in 20 min to fix issue then 2 hours later I had to show up while he was just watching his computer with no customers. They sold me false information about promotions and I spent hours on the phone with corporate, he sent me to a corporate AT&T and they said I had to go back to them with no one wanting to help. I refuse to use any home AT&T services and will make sure to transfer all of my phones once I get out of a contract they had me commit to, to get the promotion, later to say I can’t get the promotion. They made their commission and were done, pretty much. Lesson learned, but...
