birrieria y taqueria — Restaurant in Marietta

I have gone to this restaurant several times. I actually liked their Birria tacos. However my last visit was a complete disaster. My initial server who took my order was a sweetheart. I ordered a mixture of Birria Tacos and authentic steak tacos…..the Birria was excellent as usual, the steak tacos were HORRIBLE!! The meat seem like very cheap by products, filled with grizzle and extremely tough. My dog wouldn’t even eat the meat. I took them back and explained how dissatisfied I was, just asked them to replace them with the Birria tacos and offered to pay the difference in cost (which was .25). After waiting 20 mins they came to inform me that they wouldn’t exchange them bc I had been gone for 45 mins. I explained I traveled from Paulding county in Friday 5pm traffic, and I didn’t see that time policy posted anywhere. I was extremely disgusted with how they chose to do business. The lady whom identified herself as the manager said she and her sister basically just created that policy. I declined and just asked for my original tacos back, they had kept the ones I brought back and wanted me to pay for new tacos…..THE AUDACITY! Eventually I was able to get a refund and I left. Came for the first time today with my parents. We live near this area and have always passed but never actually came in. My parents were super impressed. Everything was delicious. They have the birria tacos because it’s rare to find a good place that even does them. I have the shrimp cocktail and I don’t usually like them but I wanted to give it a shot.. omg it was so good. I felt like I ate it way too fast. And not to mention, the server was super nice and friendly and came by non stop to ask how we were. I believe her name was Merly or Merline . I don’t know lol but she was super sweet. The music was also at a louder volume than usual restaurants but it gives it a super great vibe. I honestly loved it and my parents did too as they stood up to dance! This place definitely needs more advertising because it’s hidden and it’s a gem. Welp I’ll never be back ! Red flag #1 that I definitely should have walked out on was the girl in the kitchen cooking grabbed raw meat with both hands im assuming to fill her station back up, Guys with BARE HANDS! We made eye contact and i was just shocked but i was headed to bible study & hadn’t ate all day so I didn’t have time to go elsewhere.
