I had a horrible experience here. I wanted to return a dress, and all I had was a picture of the receipt on my phone. It was within 30 days, the picture of the receipt showed all details, but the associate helping me said they didn't accept picture receipts. That's completely understandable. The associate was a short, older Pakistani woman wearing a black headscarf.
She asked if I had the card I used to pay for it, and I did. She then rudely stated "it's not on this card," and I knew it was. She then clicked a button and stated "oh actually it is."
Then, she states "but this is not the right tag for the item, this tag is for denim." It didn't even make sense... I can clearly look at the picture of my receipt that stated "oatmeal/black LS S." The dress was an oatmeal and black dress for $24.99. The barcode number on the dress's tag matched the number on my receipt. She finally ended up returning up, but I didn't appreciate her attitude or accusations.
It's funny how actual thieves in the Bay Area can get away with stealing thousands of dollars, with no punishment whatsoever. Yet, innocent people will be falsely accused with absolutely nothing to support the accusation. Horrible service on Ross's part and they need to better train...
Read moreAs a loyal Ross customer, I am disgusted with the behaviour and attitude of the manager in the store tonight.
I took a friend who is visiting from England to look for some bargains and after 10 minutes in the store the female manager abruptly told us both to leave the store.
We asked for an explanation and she just repeated the same phrase "Get out of the store" over and over. She threatened to call the police and even after we offered to open our bags and let her see that they were empty she continued her tirade and said we have to leave.
I asked for an explanation and was ignored, we did nothing wrong, we did not act suspiciously in any way, shape or manner.
I will be thinking twice next time I consider visiting a Ross store and I will certainly never visit this location again.
Ross HQ, please train your staff better and ensure they have the adequate level of respect for customers who spend their hard earned money in...
Read moreI made a quick stop at Ross with a few companions after taking a stroll through Target across the big parking lot. The Ross in Marin City was kind of crowded with racks and shelves of clothing, furniture and such. I'd like to add that it was also quite clean and organized. There weren't many people inside around noon on a Saturday. The security guard was surprisingly welcoming, compared to most of the Ross stores I've visited. Prices were so-so and there were one or two...
