The UPS Store — Local services in Sausalito

I had a really upsetting experience at this location recently. Despite being gracious, friendly and prepared with my return codes, the person working there, named Evan, was rude, hurtful and patronizing.

When he saw the volume of returns I had, he said “You’re not going to make any friends doing this many returns. UPS never wanted to do these this in the first place. It’s okay if it’s one or two but this is a lot.” It felt like such an unnecessary gut punch, completely unprovoked.

He proceeded to say I “did a good job at least” preparing my returns. I found this to be sexist and patronizing. I’m not a child and this kind of behavior was very unprofessional. I left feeling sick...

It’s the first time I’ve used this location. I stood in line behind a couple people and listened as Carl, who may be the owner, help them. He was gracious, courteous and had a sense of humor.

I was sending back a small box to a vendor with a pre-printed label and needed a box to put it in and wrapping. Carl took my box, said he’d take care of it and charged me a nominal couple of dollars for everything. He gave me the receipt, pointed out the tracking number and I headed home. Later that evening I ran the tracking and it was on its way.

Thank you Carl for a pleasant experience. I’ll be back again for my UPS needs...

I have been using UPS Store #4414 on Bridgeway in Sausalito for years. Evan and his team are incredibly helpful and have saved me both time and money on numerous occasions (both for personal and professional use). I'm always greeted cheerfully and appreciate the quick and exemplary service. Evan and Carl always remember me and grab my deliveries for me when I walk in the door. I am very appreciative of the reliable service I receive and highly recommend this store...
