Copper Creek Distillery — Local services in Marion

I’m a long time fan of Copper Creek Distillery, but it’s apparently been a while since I’ve visited. They have expanded their flavors and WOW, am I impressed!! I didn’t taste a single bad thing, but there were 2 real standouts for me. The coffee flavor tastes just like drinking a latte. There is a smooth creamy finish that I would never have imagined possible. It truly boggles my mind how they got that much flavor and smoothness from a pure corn liquor. Second, the Mango Habanero collaboration with Mike Cockrell makes the best spicy margarita! I’m not sure I can go back to tequila! There is a bit of mango sweetness on the front with the habanero kick on the back of your sip, that leaves just the perfect amount of spice on your tongue. It’s not burning you up after but you definitely feel the spice. Truly, this is a must visit anytime you are in the area. If you like good shine and good folks, Copper Creek is worth a stop! My wife and I drove by not knowing it was there, so we turned around and I'm glad we did! We met Randy and his wife, who walked us through a tasting of their fantastic products, giving us insight into the process for each variation as well as pointers on mixing and different ways to enjoy them.

Randy was also nice enough to give us a tour and talk through his process, from mashing in through the distilling process, and he even shared some of the new stuff he is working on, and it's going to be awesome!

If we weren't flying we would have bought a lot of bottles! We could only get one and we opted for the IL-LIC-IT shine, which my wife, who isn't a fan of shine, loved! I've had a lot of shine from distilleries all over, as well as some of the smaller, not open to the public variety, and in my opinion this is the best bottle of shine I've ever had the pleasure...

My wife and I visited Copper Creek Saturday Oct 22 and we were greeted by Greg and his wife who own the distillery. The taste testing which is free of charge was amazing. My wife enjoyed the various products they allowed us to taste so much we purchased a couple of bottles spouts and T-shirts. Greg gave us a tour and lesson on their still and how it’s done, afterwards we all just talked about life and shared a lot of laughs. This husband and wife owned business makes a great product and the customer service is sooo amazing and genuine they made my wife I feel like life long friends. I strongly recommend anyone who is curious what moonshine is about and those that already know as I can’t see how anyone could leave Copper Creek Distillery any other way then satisfied and impressed....
