Woodcraft Furniture Co. — Local services in Mason

My husband and I looked at 3-4 local furniture store and 1-2 online store for new end tables and an entertainment unit for our family room which we were updating. There were some nice looking pieces but most of it was not made of solid wood and was made overseas. We wanted quality American made real wood furniture that would last for years. We found that type of furniture at Woodcraft. There’s a showroom full of pieces to look at and then many catalogs of all styles of wood furniture for all areas of the house plus some for covered outdoor areas. We chose our style from a catalog after getting ideas from looking at their completed pieces and got advice from the employees. We selected the stain for the top and paint color for the bottom again with help from the employees. It took about 6 weeks to get the furniture but it was all built and finished in America. We are very happy with the product and service from Woodcraft and they made it easy to shop with the social distancing. We will definitely return when we need more furniture. I am very sensitive to smells, and in particular really hate the smell that tends to come with MDF, so I looked into Woodcraft Furniture Co. as an option because they sell solid wood furniture.

I really like how there is both an online store and a physical store. The online store made it very convenient to look through options as I had time over several days, and when I settled on the style I liked I was able to go in person to the physical store to discuss the details.

I needed a nightstand to finish the furniture for a bedroom. The furniture I already had for the bedroom was furniture from a set produced over thirty years ago (and thus currently discontinued). Woodcraft Furniture Co. does all the staining and finishing of their furniture in-store, so I was actually able to bring in a drawer from the furniture I already owned for them to match the coloring. If you are looking for good sales people, do not go to the Woodcraft Furniture store in Mason. Instead, go to the Woodcraft store in Harrison Ohio and ask for Katie. My husband and I purchased furniture from Katie four months ago. Our first visit, Katie was fabulous, not pushy but gave us a lot of information, let us wander around the store and think about what we wanted. We went back and purchased 2 pieces of furniture from her. We were driving by the Mason store a week ago on Saturday and stopped by just to look around. The sales lady there was pushy to the point of obnoxious. I don't want someone telling me what I want. I never make a large purchase like furniture the first visit. We think about what we want, look around at various stores, then make our decision based on all the information we gather. A pushy sales person will never get my money.
