Joining Club Pilates Matthews was one of the best decisions I've made for my well-being, hands-down. Here are just a few reasons why:
Pilates offers a low-impact, but high-reward, method of exercise where you always feel entirely safe and in control. Important for me, as I had recently had major back surgery and was afraid of re-injury. My strength, flexibility, and confidence only continues to increase.
The Club Pilates Matthews environment is fun, supportive, and (importantly for me) non-judgmental! I joined in January 2019 and still look forward to coming to class every single day, if not twice a day. I've never been so dedicated and excited about an aspect of my fitness routine.
The Club Pilates Matthews instructors are so wonderful, and their passion for Pilates truly shines through their teaching. They are happy to adapt exercises to your level of ability (whether a beginner, advanced, injured, etc.) so that you are getting the best (and safest) workout possible. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about them!
The Club Pilates Matthews class schedule and class offerings are vast, including traditional reformer Pilates, cardio-focused, barre-focused, TRX-focused, and balanced-focused classes. So many to choose from, and all are wonderful.
My only regret is that I didn't join sooner; I can't recommend Club Pilates...
Read moreLast September, I decided to go to an intro class at this Club Pilates in Matthews since I wanted to improve my health and this location was very close to where I live. The instructor was very helpful and I did not feel intimidated at all. I decided to join and am now going 3 to 5 times a week.
The instructors are knowledgeable and incredibly kind and understanding. I felt safe in confiding in them some personal issues and they really made an effort to work with me. Each instructor is unique and all have something different to offer. The facility is super clean and everyone (staff and other members) is very friendly and welcoming. There is no judgement, or competition and the members are of all ages, shapes and sizes.
They also offer different types of classes, which range from stretching to higher intensity cardio. The instructors always offer modifiers to accommodate the varying abilities of the individual members. I am a mom of two grown kids, in my early 50's and feel very much at home at this facility. The club is like family and I plan on sticking with them for a while. I have definitely felt the mental and physical benefits of Pilates after several months. Read moreClub Pilates is def 5 stars for me! The covid safety precautions are top notch. I was initially unsure but have been put at ease with the strongly followed covid procedures. The instructors are fantastic. They give great detailed instructions and always focus on form. I have been going for about 2 months and can see an impact. My core is stronger. I cope with an injury /recovery and I’m surprised and delighted how much the instructors he’ll emphasize form, safety and encourage modulations as needed and put health and safety first. I also see as I get better I am also getting a better workout! I’m a huge fan of this studio! They also have a lot of variety in the classes - making it easy to attend everyday without getting bored! It worth every penny!
February 2021 update! I have attended more than 100 classes and I am hooked! Not only do I see improvements in my core strength and therefor manage my pain better — but I keep learning more as I continue to go!
