I have hip and back issues and can no longer tolerate our bed. We went in search of an adjustable bed to replace our existing king bed. We compared several manufacturers. Sleep Number has a great selection of mattresses to choose from. We decided upon a split king set up which gives us the best options to dial into our desired comfort, firmness, and positions without disturbing the other. I worked with Consumer Reports, which gives Sleep Number great ratings, to help narrow the search and landed on the IC8 mattress and a mid-range adjustable base. The sales staff were great, we met them all, informative, and did not try to oversell their products. In their words the mattresses and bases sell them selves. They helped us to identify the firmness that best suited our needs, and which I can fine tune as needed. On 7/22/25, I called Sleep Number to request help due to the mattress losing air on one side - it would go completely flat in the middle of the night. I was told the earliest a technician could be sent to help us was on 8/5/25 -TWO WEEKS later! As the only bed in the apartment, we desperately need to get this bed to function properly. When no further help was given by customer service, I requested a full refund. Imagine my shock when I was told we would not be refunded $250 from the order total because of the cost to send out someone to dispose of the mattress. A defective mattress that didn’t last 3 weeks! I want everyone that buys a mattress from this place to know that, even if your mattress is defective, you will still be told to pay $250 for the return and disposal - no matter the reason, whether defective or not. We will never buy another Sleep Number bed again!...
Read moreHopefully, this can help someone in the market, WARNING sales person, Jarred at the Matthews location has like a Jeckyl and Hyde personality. He started out friendly but when he couldn't close the deal he became very upset and aggressive towards me. He was telling me I should finance the transaction and I disagreed. From the beginning, I told him I wasn't financing my purchase and would be paying cash. We were unable to agree on a final price, so I told him it was OK and I would wait to see if there were any future promotions. Jarred became loud with me and started asking about my vehicles and if they were financed. Not sure what my car finances has to do with him selling me a bed. Just a pure lack of professionalism...
