Unfortunately we had to terminate our relationship with Habitec after 33 years and three homes. After moving to our present home Oct of 2020 we had them connect a brand new system to their central monitoring system. The initial install tech was absolutely clueless. After contacting Habitec due to problems they sent out a specialist. This same specialist came back twice more. The specialist seemed very knowledgeable and was pleasant and professional. Each call I to was pleasant. However each time I self checked the alarm we never got a call from their central monitoring station. Not good. Each time they said the internet connection was good but they never received an alarm. Once again I contacted Habitec. To my wife and I it was very apparent that out of the past 11 months at our new home there was a very good chance we were not monitored. At $30+\m that's also not good. I spoke to a Tony (a manager) and conveyed our frustration and disappointment. Once again they wanted to send someone out to troubleshoot. I responded that that's fine but we first need to address the 11 months we paid with little to no monitoring that we paid for. I requested that we receive the next 12 months monitoring at no charge once you get our system talking to your central station. Tony said that he can't authorize but he will speak to his boss and call me back. Tony called back and said they couldn't do the 12 months no charge. I waited a bit to hear if Tony had a backup offer, maybe offer 6 months or 2 monitoring for free. Something to show they cared about our 33 years of business and the frustration we have had. Nothing. Read moreHonestly I'm usually not very happy with the Habitec salesman if we're being honest...however. If you ever have the pleasure of having the installers Tim or Joe come to fix your issue you will be in for a treat. These 2 guys went above and beyond every day they were here in our facility.
They were both here for over a week upgrading all of our cameras in 2 different buildings, around 40-50 cameras a total upgrade. Everyday they were here they tried everything in their power to make sure our view, and system was setup, and left in the best possible condition that it could be.
Both of these gentlemen took the time to work with the people in each building that view these cameras, to get the best possible view on each camera. Tim also took the time to rewire some of the connections on the back of our DVR that where very bad and replace those.
Overall these guys have provided a drastically better view and experience for all of the users of this software for us. I feel very grateful to have installers that care about our experience as much as they would if it was their own home. These guys really know their stuff. They were also very clean and didn't leave a mess anywhere.
It would be my pleasure to have Tim or Joe come back and work on our equipment again. Best Habitec experience by a mile!!!

Read moreWhen I first started with Habitech I was very pleased. Over the last 2 years I have had several service issues and I can no longer leave my 5 star rating. I have had several techs to my house (it took 3 and a ridiculous amount of back and fourth after I purchased a new front door) and I had one out yesterday because my fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night (which is scary when you are dead asleep). They sent out the WORST technician who was not knowledable and LAZY. Let me also say he was an hour late! My time window for service was 11;00-1:00. He called me at 12:50 and said he was 30 min away. So ok, 1:20 isn't bad except he did not arrive until 2:00. No apology. Nothing. He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to fix the issue and told me to have my husband clean.tje gutters because it was probably causing water flow into the wall and panel. My husband checked the gutter (that us 38 inches away from the outside box) and the gutters was fine. So now I am having a handyman company come out to see if they can detect anything or fix it.
